I Love Arch Enemy, it was & it is always my favourite band...

I've discovered it with Doomsday Machine, then I started to buy the past CDs.

Listening Burning Bridges was like if was shooted in the head by a brown banana wearing a hat=> WTF? Amazing

Johan Liiva has a particular voice, & it fit perfectly in AE in that time. I really like Angela, but in that case, I found "The Roots..." as a great mark of disrespect towards his job in AE & I prefered these songs with him.

all you guys dont get the point!The original version is way better dont argue now.. and the reason is not because of the damn vocals.. infact leave it... imagine if there were no vocals at all on both songs.. which do you prefer? Everyone would say the liiva version obviously,i mean cmon! Back in the liiva era The guitars were FUCKING BRUTAL and the drums sound like atomic bombs! it was so raw harsh and brutal, the instruments in the re-recordings sound like toys, here.. now spread the word!

@LinkmitchTV1 eh, vocals are a matter of preference. I like the screams and guttural vocal styles, but you do have a point about the rest of the song. I do MUCH prefer the old guitar/bass/drums, all the feeling behind the music is in that version.

I personally prefer Angela over Lliva, but it's just strange hearing her singing the older material. I feel as though Lliva's voice was more suited for the music that was being played back then, not Angela's. This is still good, but the original was better, and much heavier.
