  • Great video lads nice to see how its all done. Ive just started watching your vids this week and im already looking forward to your next, youve gained another subscriber! I shall be telling all of my fishing friends to subscribe aswell 'if you send me some gifts?' wink wink

  • i dont see why so many people are moaning about the way the fish were handle'd....its no different to when they jump out the water and splash down.. . top vid ...great fun and like you said...no fish were hurt,

  • that is a brilliant video boys, very educational and i hope people appreciate it

  • always wondered how they did that :)

  • I study fishery management at sparsholt college so this is for anyone who says that chucking the fish back is uncalled for or disgusting; i can see where your coming from. But it's so much safer to do this rather than kill thousands of silvers and pike. Carp can with stand the silt being kicked up and the low oxygen levels this makes, silvers can't. All carp need to be removed quickly and faffing around is not an option. Speed is necessary!!! Other than that, great video!

  • i understand they had to get the fish back in the water asap but throwing them over there shoulders was not called for

  • .....them go back a little shaken up for a few days but ALIVE. than a net full of dead pike and silvers. Todber Manor Fisheries know what they are doing, thats why they are so successfull!!!!!!

  • @hammer108uk - take a look at the post from the fisherie it's self, I can understand why people comment but if you really understood how the process of netting a lake like that actualy worked. Then you would take a different view. The carp and cats had to be taken out ASAP as they are a hardier species than the pike and silvers. When there are so many fish in such a small space with the water levels extremely low in oxygen, it's imperative the process is done as fast as possible. Id rather see

  • i have 2 say i dont like the way the fish where handled in the vid if ya ever saw this on the bank side u would give the person/persons a gd kick in the bollox

  • That is what I do for a living. Accept, I do that with rainbow trout. It can be tough, but it's fun.

  • Well you know that if your baits don't work...grab a massive net! lol Very educational and good effort to the team as some places you would bring out shopping trolleys!

  • Nice vid by you guys as always and good brace , Think a few of the fish could have been put back a bit better in the netting, meaning not throwing sum of them the way they was :( but thats nothing to do with you guys. Look forwards to next vid :)

  • brilliant vid guys!!

  • we netted out our local lake on friday and got out 96 catfish!

  • fantastic :)

  • Great Video... !

  • Looks like thecarpblog will be visiting big Hayes next year then!

  • This is a major job netting a heavily stocked specimen lake like big hayes and doing this as quickly as possible is very important,as said below the oxygen levels will be poor with all the bottom clay disturbed. These guys know what there doing and know how to manage and run a very sucessful lake complex and a major part of this is keeping the specimen lakes silver fish and small fish levels down.

  • Just a quick message for anybody that watched the video that had concerns regarding the fish handling. The fish need to be removed from the net as quickly as possible to avoid stress. We cannot take too much time with each fish as this would have resulted in us having dead silver fish and Pike in the net! The Carp and Cats are very hardy but the lack of oxygen in the net due to the mud and sheer amount of fish means that the Pike and silvers die very quickly. No fish were harmed during filming:)

  • Great vid guys

  • what an amzing pair of fish nice vids guys i will be uploading my vids soon can u check them out

  • hahaha, good vid lads

  • Great Video. All stunning fish and in very good condition. I will definatley be fishing there a lot more in the future. Nice job

  • Cracking video, lovely stock of fish. Big up to the Todber team for their netting and fish handling skills.

  • Really awesome vid guys, great thinking to make a vid about a netting! Cue a load more youtube blogs filming a netting! Lol. Not too keen on the throw over the shjoulder tactic, but i've seen carp juump higher than tha when toppinhg anyway! Woul u wanna give me and my mate z match sometime?

  • It's funny watching the ending, then watching the start again .. lmao !

  • some amazing fish there, im deffo booking a 7 day session on big hayes next year!!!

  • I didnt think the way you where playing the fish was convincing, you usualy hold the rods more proffesionaly and look like your about to shit yourselves when youve actualy hooked a fish :D

Cracking video and was great to watch, never seen a lake getting netted before, was just waiting for the bloke pulling the majority of the fish out to get his fingers snipped by a lurking pike :)

  • never seen a lake being netted, awesome video guys :)

  • lmao took till the 3rd fish till I figured what was going on, lovely fish in there chaps really want to fish it
