I am seriously looking to get into graphic design, perhaps to be an art director, but everything I've looked into all looks negative and kind of depressing. why is this??? Is the job of a graphic designer depressing or do we just convey a depressing message??

I am a graphic designer. Its not depressing! OI love it and am really happy that this is my job. To be a graphic designer you have to WANT to do it. It takes effort and dedication.

Good luck with it I hope it goes well with you.

My best advice is mix with other designers, go to galleries and look at design books and design related things that interest you. I am into photography as well as typography.

Just find the style you like and that inspires you and work on it. Start small and keep going!

Perhaps you've heard of the saying, "Artists use lies to tell the truth, and politicians use them to cover it up"?

Depending on the work you do, if you intend to become a "true artist", per se, you may start creating videos that convey a depressing message to show what you find wrong with the world.

But at the same time, many other artists convey happy and elated messages to show what the love of the world, or of the freedom of expression. Graphic design is not a one-way street.

This is very creative and interesting. Good work, but one thing, it's the worst to see a great piece like this, but have it loose so much validity because of seplling errors. (i.e. accomplish).
