  • hahahah 4:00 to 4:05 FAILL!!

  • Damn i need to be in one of these games. ive been out of season from april we dont have any games because i got into a fight about me getting people out and they dont call it even though there are bbs stuck in theis facemask and the paintball bbs explode across their vest

  • jeremy here

  • @arostyle380 it the last game there

playing at that field im geusing

    • A Purple Heart just proves that were you smart enough to think of a plan, stupid enough to try it, and lucky enough to survive

  • Are right lol 'retired' sorry only realised that onse it started...

  • why is it the last?

  • how old do you have to be to go air softing?

  • usually 18+ but some places go 14+ with parent consent

  • Well, right now we need a field *at all*. But we never did play speedball style games- the whole idea was always to do things more like what you saw there. That worked well and just about everyone in the group liked it.

  • Why can't you play at your field any more?

  • Had to do with liability insurance basically. Expensive stuff.

  • Interesting. We're actually setting up a field at a friends grandparents ...ex? I guess would be the term - cow field. It is a four square acre area with 50 foot patches of forest, fenced in. Interested to see how it works.

  • im just curious tho but wouldn't it be really easy to cheat, considering there's no paint spray, like in paintball, i kno you can cheat in paintball but it's a lot harder cause u have a shit load more refs and you can usually see the spray.

  • its the honor rule, if you get hit you yell hit or out or whatever the word they want you to yell when you are hit

ppl in airsoft know respect and are honest when they are hit (most of the time)

other wise refs will call you out

besides if you dont call yourself out they wont stop shooting you

  • lol ya u deffinatly have a point, i think i would deffinatly rather say im out than get lit up, those things sting, personally i think paintballs hurt less cause there not as smalland they break on u, airsoft stings really bad especially on bare skin.

  • yeah i hate new people who don't say hit when they are shot! i play alot and those sort of people really annoy me! airsoft is a great game if you play it rigt otherwise there is no point playing atall!

  • Yup yup. Was playing a night game last saturday, and this dude was firing at an enemy player about 100 ft away with a tracer, and wasn't calling his hits. The guy fired 50 more shots, then he finally raised his hand. Probably cuz he got lit up pretty badly :)

  • The thing about airsoft is trust and the honersystem, thats why paintball sucks, they have to use paint cause you cant trust there word.

Yes sometimes people dont call there hits but thats cause they got hit in a spot where they cant feel it or the guy that did the shot was wrong about his hit and pisses and moans about it.

But it really is closer to milsim than paintball is.

  • Well you can cheat, unless you want to get hit more. ^_^

  • Can anyone send me a message of where i can get a friendly game with some of my friends near des moines?

  • Check out the AI forum link in the video info.

  • DOA Airsoft field on St. Charles Road in Madison County. Me and my friends play there at least once a month on Sundays or Saturdays.

  • i dont know why they made that their last game that sucks i know people that want to go

  • i am in dyersville near dubuque and have 7-8 people who want to go so if anyone has a place to go we will go (our guns are about 435 full auto and 450 snipers so yeah)

  • HEy dude,

I don't know anything about airsoft games could u plz show me a website that explains this game and what's the difference between paintball and airsoft in ur own words !!

I mean i saw the airsof balls and it is so small!!

so, how would a person get out if he was shot abuy a very little ball

  • they get shot at such a high speed its like getting hit with a nail inside of a hammer except that the balls are round and not sharp- if that makes sense...

  • It's called the honor system. if you're shot, you call yourself out.

  • what's the fps limits in the field??

  • There was a 1J limit on weapons capable of full auto, so about 350FPS with a .20g BB. But that was when the field was active... Been closed for a full year now.

  • hey im in wloo and have been looking for others to play ive checked out the site but just wondering if there are any others in wloo looking to play

  • I'm not from that area so I'm not sure who there might be if they aren't on the AI site... That's pretty much where all my information about games and players in Iowa comes from, so if you've done a thorough read-through of the site and forums, you know everything I do. Probably even more than I do.

  • its sad that i never got to airsoft with you guys i got my gun a little to late so now i had to dig my own bunkers and get my own people togather. and thay all use gay wal-mart guns no match for my echo1 p90

  • Yeah. Well, I wish I'd had a mini battery for my then-new MP5A5 but I didn't... Had that thing 14 months now and it's not fired a single shot in anger yet. There's been no real permanent field replacement that I know of, though I'll admit that I haven't really been keeping track lately.

  • i would to love to be in an airsoft game that big,but not alot of people in my neighborhood do airsofting and i cant find an airsoft club in my area, nice vid tho :)

  • Thanks. :) That game was really more like one of our old Regular Weekend Games (RWG) than anything- attendance was a bit higher because it was the last game, but it wasn't anywhere near what it was at some of the major op games- those would last for a couple days and have camping and everything.

  • Why did the field get shut down? It looks like a fun place to airsoft.

  • My understanding is that it had to do with liability costs. We live in a very litigious society after all.

  • i gottta question are there any specifications to play an airsoft iowa game... like do u have to be on a team..... and whre are games held... like doa???

  • For all that and more, see the Airsoft Iowa website and have a look around- URL in the video info.

  • if anyone knows were the boyscout camp is out in iowa, well if you go 2 miles north from their my uncles got a public paintball/airsoft feild set up its all free :p

  • Well, might wanna mention that on the AI forums then- see video info for URL. :)

  • dude i wish it hadn't of closed i would love to go visit and shoot some.

  • Yeah... Well, hopefully someday we'll get a new field set up. Someday.

  • at 5;52 that guy had a m60 those cost 1,500 or more

  • Some of the guys have some nice gear. Not sure what he paid for that particular unit.

  • strobe flares? are they homemade or bought?

  • They were bought... From where exactly I don't know though.

  • "you fuck it up you lose" LOL

  • why are you guys all wearing masks take the face shot like a man i have bled a couple times from getting shot. Just wear glasses

  • At our field, players had total freedom as to what type of facial protection gear they would wear, so long as it completely sealed the eyes and met applicable ANSI impact standards. Some also play paintball, so they just used the same mask for both sports. Others wore very slim goggles. There's no stigma attached to the use of either type of gear in our group- we're too busy having fun to care about what gear someone's using.

  • i just use a pair of smith and wesson glasses if you get shot in the face you will know it unlike a mask sometimes players cheat or you might not hear the round hit. It is hard to breath in a paintball mask especially when you are playing capture the flag or a game that involves a lot of sprinting.

  • Well, those wouldn't be allowed at the fields here unless they provided a tight seal aroudn the eye from all directions. But I've used both full masks (some CQB events require them) and goggles and had no problem breathing in either case, even when running for long periods- except if I inhale a mosquito. Actually, my eye gear was taken from a paintball mask, and can be used with or without the full face bits depending on the game's requirements. I play without when I can, but that's my choice.

  • so now that this field is closed were do you go to play i live in Logan,Iowa and i have been looking for a place to play that looked like alot of fun to bad its not open anymore so were do you go to play now let me know please

  • I haven't played since I shot this- unfortunately not having a field for AI has put kind of a damper on things. It might be best to check the AI website (see video info for URL- I've just added it) and see what's going on around the state... Given where Logan is, you might also see what the Omaha groups are doing (I don't know their website but some of them post on our boards now and then) as that's closer to you than we are.

  • man i wish i could hav made it to th game

  • It was a lot of fun. :)

  • IDK wat would be worse the water or the snow we had to trudge threw.

  • I'd say the snow is worse- at least with the water in the creek beds you can avoid it if you want to, depending on where you have to go... But the snow is everywhere. And if you drop anything, it may be gone forever. I lost a large battery out there last year, in the snow. Didn't make any winter games this year though, unfortunately. And after I made sure to get matching winter camo too. u.u
