@MonsterHunter454 ok you cannot break here horns or tail unless u use a dragon attribute weapon. Black Scythe would be perfect for doing it as she is also very weak to dragon attribute as she is an eldar dragon. Hope this helps.

@IKillPeopleForFuun Ok tigrex armour should be good enough if u want a dragon attribute weapon u need to complete all the 3* and 4* missions in the guild. After that a new quest will appear with the lao shan lung. From him u can make dragon attribute weapons. The longsword option is the sword I am using and this tree produces one of the best longswords in the game. I would say the best weapon to kill her is a great sword as it still allows u to block her attacks. Hope this helps

@IKillPeopleForFuun Ok u can do either two things 1 stick to melee but you should get if u can get evasion +2 and evade distance up. With this u can easily roll past all of his attacks it will require timing but is really good combo. I am not sure if u can get this if not your only option is really to go ranged, as all of his annoying attacks are close ranged u can easily kill him from a distance, watch some guides on youtube for more details, use lightning rods, frogs, sonic bombs shock traps.

YESH! just made this flee, then killed it after in the quest after! sooooo easy! make sure you have a dragon type weapon and it died in like, 30 minutes for me. ok, it might take a bit longer for you because i farmed tigrex S armor and the blue ogre sword on ad-hoc. Just a bit of advise :p.

@keroro7070 The short answer is no for dark stone i think u can get it from fatalis but that is not an option :D, although lao does have very good dragon element weapon's, to unlock him in the gathering hall u need to do all 3 and 4* quests (i think u can leave Go Fish Goldenfish!" & "Liver of Legend" ), i know there is alot of quest but u will have to do them someday its up to u if u like longswords lao stuff makes the best dragon element longsword in the game, i am using it in this vid
@AyDKingCraZy Theostra is a harder Lunastra, they have very simular moves much like the rathalos and rathian set up, that the rath is a bit stronger. Also there attacks are all the same i think. Hope this helps
@TheAssassin61 i like kirin armor, the best bit about it is probably its elemental resistances as it is only just negative in dragon res. It also boosts elemental att, i have/try to get a weapon with each element so that works well for me but if u have mainly raw powered weapons it will not help u as much. I also find the kirin easier to beat than other moneters with the same armor strength so i would say so, but there are many choices.
@rich9573 ok now i followed your advice. i didnt get the kirin armor because i usually use raw power but i did get the rathalos soul set with a black scythe\mirage finsword. think i could kill it with that? not certain if i should use black scythe or mirage finsword
@TheAssassin61 great you have the rathalos armor due to its fire resistance so that should help. Firstly both those weapons should be able to do the job, i have run some calculations and the mirage will do a little more damage i think but u must have a dragon element weapon to break her horns so if u want to do that do with the dragon weapon, also u can cut off her tail or her horns to get rid of her fire aura

@TheAssassin61 sorry i am not sure, what i do know is though if u are next to her and she does it it will only be around her so u will be fine if u roll 2x or something. u could jump everytime she does it that way u are invinsible so u take no damage. U may be on to something with the sparks but i am not sure i am sure u will get the hang of her with like 2 more atemps trust me i found her impossible the first time but u get used to everything. good luck sorry i could not help any more
@DISSIDIAcosmos well i had a cable i sued on my psp it must be a slim though what plugs into the tv. I then just used an ordinary camera and recorded it and put it onto the computer and used windows movie maker to make the vid. the Kushala armor and you wont have to worry about the fire aura around both fire dragons ^_^ then you use the fire dragon armor to go against chemleos and use his armor to go after kushala...its one of thoes things

I got loads of Elder Dragon Blood, Elder Dragon Bones and all that crap. I'm just saying that Ruststones are really rare, because I'm HR1.... I keep mining at the Volcanic Zone and I found a normal Ruststone, for Bowgun. And after getting a Sm Ruststone, I still need to try, restart, try, restart, until I get Rusted Weapon! Sheesh, I'm not that stupid......
never said u were stupid...but this game takes time...it will take u a week sometimes to make a weapon/armor u need....I had to hunt about 50 narga before I got the armor...
u can also use the sweep attack that makes u go back abit. wen it jumps back she roars. at an angle, use the sweep attack and u dont hav to roll. u can roll as well as if u want to b certain she will miss u no matter what!
kusha is like made for fire dragon slaying lol. it gives terrain negate to stop lava or fire aura from hurting u. it also gives improved recovery speed. if u play mhf2g/mhfu then itl give fire resistance and short charge instead of speedy recovery.
i think you must be at hr 5 to get it. The last quest is ash loa. The first level is red dragonsword what is at 4 * in the gathering hall, hope this helps
with a fully upgraded armor with decent fire, dragon res, Lunastra's attacks should do VERY little. I just did it with full tigrex S, fully upgraded. She never did over 10% per hit to me. Although I use DS on her.
And about the explosions, from my experience, its always best to risk it and hit her in the face. Especially with DS since you will almost ALWAYS get a flinch out of her, causing her to stop the explosions.
you think you should tell another important thing: red sparks=close range explosion
yellow sparks=long range explosion, so if you see yellow sparks and you are close, keep on striking! In both case, if you manage to make her stagger, you'll interrupt the attack, but she is likely to chatge you soon after, so watch out!
By the way, the close range explosion move counterclockwise. You should dodge in the direction of the explosion to try to avoid them if you are in front of her on the right!
Mea culpa : i said a bullshit! explosions MAY move counterclockwise, but not always!moreover no matter how far or how close you are to Teo/Luna, you cuold still avoid the explosions with a bit of luck! sorry!
Longswords are what I use, they're the easiest for me- I've used them since I started.
I currently have the Red Dragonsword, and I need Lunastra materials (the horns) for Smolder. I've tried numerous times to defeat Lunastra, but failed oh so many. I have Kaiser helm, plate and greaves, all at 68 defence, and Khezu tasset + Obituary gauntlets. In total, 840 attack and 343 defense, with Power/Armourtalons and Power/Armourcharms. This guide helped, I might try it again if I can. XD
longswords aren't only easy, are also funny! The great sword is SO boring fo me....1 duck 2 charge 3 hit 1 duck 2 charge 3 hit....and forever and ever...while with the longsword you have more possibilities...
Wow. When the vid first came up, I thought you had bone katana equipped. Then it clicked that you have Smolder Dragonsword. Freaked me out for a bit. This is a sweet video though. Does Kirin armor really make that big a difference? I have full Kushala gear, and it's decent, but I would really like to get a better set for fight Luna and Teo.
Kushala should be good enough, kirin is pretty much the same you should be ok, just you have to be very quick, you will probably fail the first one/two times but then you will have her. I would say use what ever is your most fav weapon as well don't try longswords if you don't like them. I think it was a guild quest. Also is this on muf2 or mhfu. If it is mhf2 you can get dragon element weapons by doing all 3,4* guild missions and unlock loa.
Ah. I haven't moved up to Unite yet. I got MHF2 about five months ago, and soloing takes forever. Longsword and bow are the only weapons I can really work with. I've got fire dragonsword, and I have beaten Luna and Teo once. Just hopin' for a good armor set to make it a bit easier. Thanks for the reply though!
just fought it today and repelled it, didn't find it too hard, the only move i had trouble with was the charge, which i find so hard to predict where its going, btw can i use this guide agianst the teostra as i've heard hes pretty much the same
yea. and you can get the sword by first getting fire dragonsword to red dragon sword to smolder dragonsword. To get the first one you need loa stuff and to unlock him you need to do every 3+4* quest in teh gathering hall.
I would say so, although due to the LS not having any dragon attribute you will not be able to break her head (crown) i am not sure about the tail. But i think you will be able to do the quest with that, good luck :)

well firstly you need to do all of the 3 and 4 * missions in the gathering hall. You night need to do 2 and 1 though i can't remember (if 3+4 does not work try 2). But this will work. Teo do the exactly the same thing as lunastra, i am a bit busy with exams and stuff right now. Ask me again in just under a month and i will do it, but i am sure there must be a vid out there. In the tower area there with be giant thunder bugs. Mostly or all in the forth area you come across including the one you start in. They are big fuzzy lights flying in the air. Kill them and it should be under them.
i am using a great weapon so it sill take time, also don't go stupid in trying to break her horns it will come just not straight away. Keep going they should break soon.
I had the same problem but with teostra. I found out that in order to break lunastra or teostras horns you need to use a dragon element weapon. So if you like this Im guessing you like longswords. So youre kinda stuck using fire dragonsword. Unless youre good with a different kind of weapon with draon element. Hope that helped you.
Sorry i don't really understand are you asking that testora you face him in rounds and he carries the damage over. So you might have to face him 3 times before he dies.
Just to clarify what it does, it doubles you recovery rate so you heal twice as fast when your health is red so you gain life quicker. What is very helpful as you might see or find out.

u can also use the sweep attack that makes u go back abit. wen it jumps back she roars. at an angle, use the sweep attack and u dont hav to roll. u can roll as well as if u want to b certain she will miss u no matter what!

kusha is like made for fire dragon slaying lol. it gives terrain negate to stop lava or fire aura from hurting u. it also gives improved recovery speed. if u play mhf2g/mhfu then itl give fire resistance and short charge instead of speedy recovery.

i think you must be at hr 5 to get it. The last quest is ash loa. The first level is red dragonsword what is at 4 * in the gathering hall, hope this helps

with a fully upgraded armor with decent fire, dragon res, Lunastra's attacks should do VERY little. I just did it with full tigrex S, fully upgraded. She never did over 10% per hit to me. Although I use DS on her.
And about the explosions, from my experience, its always best to risk it and hit her in the face. Especially with DS since you will almost ALWAYS get a flinch out of her, causing her to stop the explosions.

you think you should tell another important thing: red sparks=close range explosion
yellow sparks=long range explosion, so if you see yellow sparks and you are close, keep on striking! In both case, if you manage to make her stagger, you'll interrupt the attack, but she is likely to chatge you soon after, so watch out!
By the way, the close range explosion move counterclockwise. You should dodge in the direction of the explosion to try to avoid them if you are in front of her on the right!

Longswords are what I use, they're the easiest for me- I've used them since I started.
I currently have the Red Dragonsword, and I need Lunastra materials (the horns) for Smolder. I've tried numerous times to defeat Lunastra, but failed oh so many. I have Kaiser helm, plate and greaves, all at 68 defence, and Khezu tasset + Obituary gauntlets. In total, 840 attack and 343 defense, with Power/Armourtalons and Power/Armourcharms. This guide helped, I might try it again if I can. XD

Wow. When the vid first came up, I thought you had bone katana equipped. Then it clicked that you have Smolder Dragonsword. Freaked me out for a bit. This is a sweet video though. Does Kirin armor really make that big a difference? I have full Kushala gear, and it's decent, but I would really like to get a better set for fight Luna and Teo.

Kushala should be good enough, kirin is pretty much the same you should be ok, just you have to be very quick, you will probably fail the first one/two times but then you will have her. I would say use what ever is your most fav weapon as well don't try longswords if you don't like them. I think it was a guild quest. Also is this on muf2 or mhfu. If it is mhf2 you can get dragon element weapons by doing all 3,4* guild missions and unlock loa.

Ah. I haven't moved up to Unite yet. I got MHF2 about five months ago, and soloing takes forever. Longsword and bow are the only weapons I can really work with. I've got fire dragonsword, and I have beaten Luna and Teo once. Just hopin' for a good armor set to make it a bit easier. Thanks for the reply though!

just fought it today and repelled it, didn't find it too hard, the only move i had trouble with was the charge, which i find so hard to predict where its going, btw can i use this guide agianst the teostra as i've heard hes pretty much the same

yea. and you can get the sword by first getting fire dragonsword to red dragon sword to smolder dragonsword. To get the first one you need loa stuff and to unlock him you need to do every 3+4* quest in teh gathering hall.

I would say so, although due to the LS not having any dragon attribute you will not be able to break her head (crown) i am not sure about the tail. But i think you will be able to do the quest with that, good luck :)

well firstly you need to do all of the 3 and 4 * missions in the gathering hall. You night need to do 2 and 1 though i can't remember (if 3+4 does not work try 2). But this will work. Teo do the exactly the same thing as lunastra, i am a bit busy with exams and stuff right now. Ask me again in just under a month and i will do it, but i am sure there must be a vid out there. Lastly thax for the comment, i really appreiate it, maybe check out my other vids.

In the tower area there with be giant thunder bugs. Mostly or all in the forth area you come across including the one you start in. They are big fuzzy lights flying in the air. Kill them and it should be under them.

I had the same problem but with teostra. I found out that in order to break lunastra or teostras horns you need to use a dragon element weapon. So if you like this Im guessing you like longswords. So youre kinda stuck using fire dragonsword. Unless youre good with a different kind of weapon with draon element. Hope that helped you.

Just to clarify what it does, it doubles you recovery rate so you heal twice as fast when your health is red so you gain life quicker. What is very helpful as you might see or find out.

I have had this before, can i say this is my worst amour and the weapon was only to speed it up. If i used akantor i don't get affected but the screams, white fatalis makes it so i don't bounce off. I could have go really bad stuf
