Floyd look like my Chester when he's a young puppy. Chester's now 12 years old and x7= 84 yrs.old with compare man's age. I can not imagine how will I handle myself when I lost him. Chester and Floyd have in common. Love Basset Hound. Thanks for sharing and posting the very beautiful video.

What a handsome pup! He looks almost identical to my Oaklee. We flew her to PA from OK in July. Bassets have so much love to give. I am away at Pharmacy School now and watching this always makes me think of her!!!

Bassets have a reputation as being couch potatoes but really they are fairly active dogs, bred to be out walking through tough terrain over long distances. If given the opportunity many Bassets would choose an active lifestyle over laying around. Our boy will hike for hours and really loves to get out and get exercise. They are not as high energy as retriever breeds, but certainly not the lazy dogs that people think they are. :)

I've had 3 Bassets and all of them displayed the "sudden bursts of energy" We called them "Power Pellets" After running around and leaving the humans in stitches, they would stop and give their sober"What's so funny look" Bassys make the world better.
