  • Who uses Hypnosis over Dark Void on Darkrai?

  • i'm working on a simular linoone too. But how do you get these berries? I know you can get them in PBR but what is an easy way to grind for battle points?

  • I THINK LINOONE SHOULD BE UBER!!!!!

  • Dialga is mad, bro.

  • if ur gonna use a darkai train it at least to lvl 66 for dark void no matter how annoying it is is still better to have that :P

  • Epic.

  • linoone=cheater darkrai asleeping and you have time to use belly drum and return i say again linoone=cheater

  • @AlexMistocar1234

Bot really... there are other ways Linoone could have disabled Darkrai, like with Trick or Swagger for example. Not that it would have mattered, as it was pretty obvious that the guy using Darkrai didn't know what he was doing.

  • @AlexMistocar1234

Not really, since Linoone could have disabled Darkrai in other was, such as Trick or Swagger. Not that it would have mattered, since the guy using Darkrai obviously didn't know what he was doing.

  • @AlexMistocar1234 How is that cheating? It's called tactics.

  • love linoone!!! now i wish to train one! n_n

btw, how about switching swagger for brick break? or something fighting-type

  • Linoone look really cool in this game.

I mean look at it. It's standing on TWO FEET!

    Can Absol do that? No.

    Can Dialga do that? No.

What other quadrupedal Pokemon can do that?

    Don't say Meowth.

  • @TheOzzMan22 Furret

  • @TheOzzMan22 Quilava does it.

  • @GrassSquid And Quilava is just as badass.

  • How I'm gonna explain that weasel beated three Legendary (One is a Lord of Time while the other two represent the darkness themselves) by the power of love?

  • Linoon's attack goes to 1048.

  • Great battle! I'm a fan of your Linoone!

  • How often would you say this stratagy works?

  • give linooe a rock smash?

  • why do you have swagger on your linoone? wouldn't seed bomb or extremespeed be better?

  • Nice. What was the ev spread?

  • U were versing and ultra noob

  • whts linoone's max att?

  • I conceived him for level 100 - at that level I believe he reaches the maximum possible. At level 50... it may possibly not be as high.

  • i have darkrai to bad they dont have dark void

  • "Millions of star flicker in the night, as we stand on this meteorite."

Sounds like the start of a Team Rocket motto!

  • Sorta does, maybe you should finish it!

  • @TheHumbleFellow probally the 5th gen motto lol i hope that one is better if Team Rocket is even in that anime

  • Little racoon defeats gods with the power of love.

  • Aw...!

  • Linoone is EPIC and dangerous when he uses a belly drum. -shudders- He's like a holy trinity, seriously

  • My Linnone has Return, Shadow Claw, Belly Drum, and Rest

Rest is for recovering hp from belly drum...

then her held item is a chesto berry

  • Hey, that seems like a good idea! :D I should do that too :)

  • Linoon is the new god!

    inoone ftw!

  • why don't you teach linoone dig or rock smash for steel and rock types?

  • I had intended to test out having Swagger instead. ...and it's actually proved useful a few times. Dig would probably be the better option, but I never seemed to have many problems with the Rock/Steel Pokemon - probably because I didn't use Linoone all too often.

    Good recommendation, though!

  • swagger is a good idea. only backfire is shuckle... :P

  • Not really cause steel types like Steelix and Aggron usally have EarthQUake which hits linoone harder while underground.

  • Yes, and if this linoone is on platinum, seed bomb could also be a viable choice.

  • Nice, I didn't know about that one. I'll have to look into setting Linoone up with that!

  • Awesome! Tell me if you put seed bomb on him! You can get seed bomb from the pokemon tutor in the survivor area (I think). I do know you'll need rock climb to get to him,

  • Yes but I think that is rather strict, if there are overpowered ubers then use a counter, perhaps even the same uber.

  • I'd venture the idea behind the restriction is that the organizers of the tournaments want to have a more varied competition than a limited pool of the "best" ubers and potential counters.

  • That is a good point that you make. but i suppose there isnt anything that can be done about it, the teirs will never be perfect.

  • you should teach linoone extreme speed

  • I don't have the means to learn the move.

  • sorry to double post but i think just because people use darkrai doesn't make them noobs the way they raise and use them makes them noobs like having two sleep moves or trying to use hypnosis or dark void when there is a safeguard up! also maybe people that are afraid of facing off against darkrai should try making a team of pokemon with insomnea or some pokemon with safeguard that is fast to set it up before darkrai can put it to sleep!

  • You are absolutely correct, Ubers are not for noobs, it just so happens that ubers are what noobs prefer to use, but it is still a tier, and there is no rule against using ubers, the only noobish abuse is what you just described.

  • ubers is NOT a tier. Ubers is simply a banlist for the standard tier much likeBL i a banlist for the UU tier.

  • Thanks. Now that the darkrai event is out, I'm running into alt more of them. And since I don't raise for speed, I have real troubel with them.

  • why does darkrai have both hypnosis and dark void you onlly need one sleep move for darkrai which i suggest removing hypnosis cause in is less accurite then dark void!

  • i have a linoone that has substitute, seed bomb, rock smash and headbutt and it took out a kyogre, no setting up or anything

  • linoone's the best pokemon ever!!

  • you killed giratina !

  • Sorry.

  • no but darkrai is for noobs

  • opps not cleffa togipi

  • my linoone does this only with ceffa in a double battle follow me and pych up battle

  • its not even the fact that darkrai is a cheap pokemon becuz hez not

its just that everyone spams that darkvoid sleeping moveset

i have a darkrai and hes doesnt have a trace of any sleeping move

    he has foces blast

    darkpulse

    thunder and icebeam

darkrai is way better than everyone think he is were all just tired of his sleeping set =[

  • i have a lv.100 darkrai

  • ?!? darkrai is sleeping with its eye open?!

i have an epic zigzagoon (level 68), and a darkrai (but he's hacked location only, not stats)

i dont want to evolve zigzagoon, cuz he's japanise and when they evolve they loose their jap name

  • ...Did Dialga commit suicide?

  • That is a BEASTLY Linoone. o.o

  • huh?....how come linoone is so strong?...is he that strong in the anime too?...or just some glitches or whatever?and...is he legendary....cuz i never heard of him!!!

  • Hmm? Nah. He's like the Ratta of Ruby/Sapphire.

Right here I gave him BellyDrum which boosts his Attack power through the roof, and a berry that makes him really fast. That's why he causes so much havoc.

  • ohhh....i was like WTF!!!...he beated darkrai an' giratina..in another vid!!!

  • ha and i always thought linoone were useless common anoying weaklings.i think i was wrong it was a big sweeper!

  • Yep, Once My Linoone Knows Belly Drum Nobody Stands A Chance.

  • LOL Darkrai used Hypnosis even after you used Safeguard? What an Uber NOOB! Hooray for Linoone!

  • @LithiumDragon

To be entirely fair to the uber noob, he was at least polite enough to use Hypnosis instead of Dark Void.

  • @LulzIshall: Well no amount of politeness can defeat the power of love. Your Linoone is hardcore man, hardcore.

  • @LithiumDragon

People like that really piss me off, I can't have fun on wi-fi without some noob packing his team with Ubers. And even then they don't know how to use em.

  • holy crap. i faced the same guy your facing now. man was he easy.

now i need to make a linnone. there godlike. it will give my friend at school somthing to be comfused at

  • the opponent was cheap using all legendaries in the battle, people who do that are cheap. Sweet battle Linoone is awesome!

  • Omg that'll teach those freakin uber users! I'm serious! I'm so freakin tired of people only using ubers. Don't they have any strategy???

  • Well I use some legendaries myself, it's not the fact that they can be stronger, I never cared about that sort of thing, it's the fact that some legendaries are my favorite pokemon (Kyogre, Rayquaza, and Darkrai)

  • They should of done that on Darkrai Movie just sent out a Linoone . Lol

  • That'd be something, eh?

  • dude, linoone just owned! i once beat the elite 4 with linoone just using headbutt...good times...

  • Very awsome Linoone man

  • "only ones that give HER trouble"

    HER, man! Her!!!

Just kidding. I don't know how I noticed that though. lol

  • I get that a lot. I don't really pay attention to gender in this game unless I'm breeding moves or natures.

  • Steelix, Aggron, and Probopass are the only Pokemon apt to defeat Linoone. X3

  • not unless linoone is packing rock smash...

  • That helps, but I'm pretty sure it's not a 1HKO - Dig has a better chance. (And yes, I know it's a 2 turn move)

  • Linoone = <3

I've got one that I've transferred from my Ruby game from many years ago onto my Pokemon Pearl game. Love him so much, he's an amazing sweeper.

  • lmao...that was amazing

  • I'd take away swagger and put extreme speed instead .

  • I would too, but I can't.

  • its possible with pkmn box. I think its on gamecube or something.

  • Normal attacks often have the highest attack power over all other moves simply because they are not super effective against any other type.

  • Hmm... Why didn't you use Safeguard in the first place? I mean, its Darkrai, obviously it would try to put you to sleep...

  • Too slow for one thing, and the other thing is that I know/knew next to nothing about legendary pokemon. I can care less about their capabilities since I never intend to use them.

(Makes the battles against them more interesting for me, too, if somebody still wants to play with them)

  • hypnosis on darkrai NO DARK VOID!!!!

  • Hmmmm... strange.

  • u need to lv up darkrai to lv 100 for that =\

hard if that guy doesnt hack

  • The strongest NORMAL move is Mega Kick, I think, but it's poor Accuracy is a letdown so it's barely used.

  • There are loads of strong NORMAL moves, but like the one you mention they tend to have drawbacks:

Explosion - 250 (Due to effects, closer to 500 - User faints)

Giga Impact - 150 (Can't attack next turn)

Hyper Beam - 150 (Can't attack next turn)

Last Resort - 130 (All other moves must be used first)

Mega Kick - 120 (fairly inaccurate + low PP)

DOuble Edge - 120 (Hurts self

Return - 102 If happiness is Maximum

  • Double Edge is awesome with the ability, "Rock Head", and I find that Return is always a safe one to fall back on for a hard hitting accurate NORMAL attack.

  • Return does 150. =P

  • If you take STAB into account when a NORMAL pokemon uses it, yes.

  • A Lickilicky Explosion does 750. ;)

  • It's amazing if you raise a pokemon right. Even the mosy unsuspecting pokemon can be deadly.

  • 00bers suck. That's all I can say to this

  • which move is stronger headbutt or return?

  • Headbutt does 70 base damage, and Return maxes out at 102 if the pokemon is really happy.

  • thanks. for some reason i always thought return was a weak move, guess not

  • Nope. It's pretty much the strongest NORMAL move out there.

  • If your Bronzong had GyroBall you probably would've beat Darkrai with it.

  • Oh well, I made do with what I had. They weren't particularly trained for online battle, I'll tell you that.

  • Lol, I remember the furret I had in GSC, it knew Surf, earthquake, body slam, and Toxic. Linoone is like furret's debonair brother.

  • which one is the best ..? pokemon pearl or pokemon diamond ...?

  • Both are the same game, just with a few different Pokemon. Pick your favorite color, or look up the Pokemon if that is important to you.

  • wait .. darkrai is on pokemon diamond or pearl...?

  • Either or.

You had to get it by downloading an item at GameStop (or wherever) that allows you to battle and capture it in-game.

That's the only legitimate way, and it was limited. To have another chance, you have to wait for Nintendo to announce another distribution of this item.

  • where did you get salac berry??? i so need that berry

  • I traded with someone else for it.

Otherwise, you can buy it off of Pokemon Battle Revolution, or do something similar with the GameCube games and trade it to Pearl/Diamond.

  • sweeet! thanks alot! i thought about buying it on PBR but it cost alot. jeez! why so much???? xD anyways thanks again

  • It's just that rare. Once you have it though, you can easily plant and grow more. That's why I figured I could find someone willing to trade it.

  • lol he got pwnz0rd

  • ROFL! I've never heard the announcer say "Ouch" before!

  • whu does that darkrai have hypnosis insteed of dark viod? thats just lame

  • lol linoone is fun XD this goes to my favs

  • darkrai is hacked

  • Probably.

  • And doesn't even have Dark Void, if it was lv. 100 and when battling, it goes to lv. 50. And I hate how people want to use that combo of Sleep+Nightmare+Bad dreams...many people know what coming...Darkrai should have had other moves.

  • wow your linoone pwns

  • Thought I'd take advantage of its Ability, "Gluttony", which allows it to eat berries at half damage, rather than quarter. That's why it works perfectly with Belly Drum.

  • What nature is Linoone?(Im guessing Hasty.)

  • Looks like Linoone is Adamant.

  • i no understand pokemon game good, but i think bronzorg's sleep was short.(You have very nice tactic)

  • Dude, Linoone Dunsparce and Seviper are weak Pokemon. I want the Darkrai to win

  • Yup, each of those Pokemon have a severe weakness. Seviper is slow and has a weak defense, Dunsparce is weak and slow, and Linoone is pretty mediocre except for a decent speed.

However, as shown here, even the weakest of Pokemon can trounce the strongest!

  • How did you balance out the stats though?

  • With the move Belly Drum, a Salac Berry equipped, and the ability "Glutton".

Belly Drum takes away half the user's health, but triples the attack power; having the ability "Glutton" allows berries to be activated at half health, rather then at quarter; and the Salac Berry boosts speed by 1.5.

This makes Linoone really fast, and REALLY strong.

  • Actually, it QUADRUPLES attack and DOUBLES speed, as +6 is x4 and +2 is x2 according to Smogon and Shoddy Battle. Imagine what it would do paired up with a Medicham that knows Psych Up... *hint hint*

  • Yup, I made an error when typing up the attack increase, but the Speed increase is still 1.5 since it only raises speed by one stage.

Thanks for the help clearing that up!

  • Yes, yes...but Linoone had help from Bronzong...without that assistance, it would not have won.

  • Best to make use of the support you have, huh? I think I may have had Linoone take down a tough team on its own, before. That's what I have Swagger for!

It's VERY risky, but if I win two coin tosses, I've likely taken the Pokemon out and am good to go!

  • True..very true.

But, I do like your message. Even the seemingly weakest pokemon can be strong..

    Take Bibarel for example! :D

  • I think I've seen videos of a Raichu111092 using one... I like the possibilities with its abilities at the least!

  • Wooooooooooo go Linoone. I like Darkrai but it really thrashed Darkrai there.

  • Wooooooooooo go Linoone. I like Darkrai but it really thrashed Darkrai there.

  • Linoone owns.

  • oh my..ur truly a master with linoone. it would be a honur if it went aganist mine.

  • "Only ones that give him trouble are Steel/Rock types"

Your Linoone is female. Anyway sorry about that. nice battle.

  • Eh, I always have trouble keeping track of that. Honestly, I don't care which gender the Pokemon I end up training is, so it hardly registers when the egg hatches.

  • There are a few like that, actually. Hypno, and Honchkrow are two examples.

  • Noctowl also works well. Noctowl! Who uses Noctowl?

  • I do, he's my special and physical wall.

  • I haven't looked too much into Noctowl, but I know his Defense isn't so hot. How do you go about that side of the D.? Reflect or somesuch?

  • Yup, he has reflect, and around 200 HP with the rest of EVS jam packed into Special and Physical Defense.

  • That Darkrai must be a hack i can alomst gurantee it

  • Probably, but you've got to put up with these things on PBR. I'm surprised, though, that the majority of the (good) players are legit!

  • i see what you mean the cheap ones have illeagal pokemon like i fought i guy who had 5 arceus and 1 darkrai

  • Now 5 Arceus and Darkrai is just plain n00bish.

  • nice stratagey

  • Thanks! I just looked at Linoone's Gluttony (ability), and tried to build a Pokemon around it! (Turns out it's a Linoone used fairly often in high level play, but mine is still tweaked a bit differently.)

  • Linoone beats Darkrai! Linoone beats Giratina! Linoone beats EVERYTHING!!

The ass-whooping by Linoone, combined with the opponent's hilarious attempt to Hypnosis you with Safeguard up has earned this vid 5 stars.

  • Heh, check out "Legendary Letdown!" If you want to see a more recent video of Linoone in action!

There's also a couple lying around of Dunsparce messing around with legendary pokemon (Taking out a Mewtwo from the opening of the match, for example).

  • u could probably use the same stratedgy with a furret

  • Furrets don't learn Belly Drum, nor do they have the ability "Gluttony"...

  • o didnt realise pretty good stratedgy though

  • well shadow calw shoudl not be eliminated, is the only thing you can use against the ghost types, keep belly drum, return, shadow claw and a move of your choice like rock smash or maybe natural gift and a berry that makes natural gift fighting type dunno.

  • I like Swagger. I might switch it out for Dig someday, though.

  • "Rock Smash, by the way, even when Super effective is still only just about as good as an ineffective Return."

  • darkrai is soo cool! i have one in Pokemon diomond ^^

  • Dig will attract a Flyer, then you can kill that with return, which is a good thing, but you lose Linoone if they have earthquake.

  • That's the downside to it, but it still is a pretty good choice overall all things considered.

  • What is swagger doing on that move set? You move set is basically the standard one. Swagger is replaced with Rock Smash on standard for coverage. Also Pursuit can be used over Shadow Claw.

  • I don't follow the crowd, plain and simple. I come up with these movesets on my own.

Swagger is there so that Linoone has a chance against Focus Band, and Pokemon that he's ineffective against. It also helps for a last ditch attempt at setting himself up.

Rock Smash, by the way, even when Super effective is still only just about as good as an ineffective Return. I've heard people suggest Dig, instead.

  • Dig is one of the worst moves ever. It doubles Earthquake's power and they can get a free switch into a flying-type with it.
