fyi: Magnums can penetrate the armor. I don't think it can go through the shield, but definitely the armor. A great way to get loads of ammo is to spend money on buying copies of you current gun, then selling the new gun as it leaves the ammo in your inventory. It takes approx. $1000 for a single full clip, but still, it's kinda worth it if you can't find ammo.

If you do, it will catch you and then kill you instantly. And they are on the last level, so be careful. Those things are also the reason why I gave up on beating this game for the moment.
