it makes me so freakin happy that you said that's how you wear your hair to ballet... I will be making my dreads in a few weeks and then will be taking ballet in the spring next year and I was wondering how they would go over in the ballet world... so thank you!! :)

very nice! i was a dance major in college and had to where my hair in a bun for ballet 5 days a week. my locs are half way down my back. i sat in the dressing room everyday and palm rolled each loc in a little ball so it could look like a bun. it was a nighmare! wish i had seen this video then.
I wear a similar hairstyle but I use like 2 hairbands to hold the bun and I use a headwrap to hold down the front and let the remainder locs hang over to the side! 1 luv
If u have alot of shorter hair in the back, try a very thin hair net to secure it first then tie. It works great. Even if your hair is very long the net gives you more control. Let me know what u think :)
Great minds think alike...I do the same style, but a litte differently...made it up one day when it was hot and I just wanted my hair off my shoulders. Thanks for showing me how to use my locs to make a ponytail holder (lol). I'm gonna try this variation of the style.
