And clipping means that you are overwriting the buff. Say you have 2 sec left on rupture you want to wait untill it's closer to 0 then hit that rupture button agn ;)

I was wondering. As mainly PvPer, i picked up a few pieces of pve gear recently and was just trying things out on a target dummy. Doing Mut and the roation in this vid, i top out at about 10.5k dps on a lvl 85 target dummy. My question is, i do the same dps in full pvp gear and pvp spec. Am i doing something wrong

@saikimimaru It would depend on the gear level differences, it's better, as long as you can keep hit cap, to be in 359 epic pvp gear and than 333 blues for example, and the same for 346 blues most the time, but you need to be VERY VERY careful using pvp gear, make DAMN CERTAIN you don't use it incorrectly, go to askmrrobot com to itemize

I was wondering why at 35% you switch to only 1CP Ruptures? Is it just to keep up the Venemous Wounds proc? If so, why not just do 1CP Ruptures to begin with, if the VW proc is all you want from it? Why make the switch?

Also, what does "clipping" mean? You said it will clip the EnV buff, but I'm not sure what that means...

I think he means never let your rupture fall off at any point. If it is about to fall off refresh it with whatever combo points you have. Depending on what you have to do for the fight may mean you won't get your 4-5 cp rupture up and have to use a lower number of CPs

Why do you use rupture right after the garrote? You already have a bleed up for the energy procs. You can actually do 2 envenoms before ur garrote is up, and do a rupture then to keep a bleed up 24/7

@xXn0sc0p3xX You gotta keep in mind that you don't do envenom for the damage it does, but for the buff you get from using it, poison damage is what you want, not burst, by putting rupture up (even with garrote up) its just THAT MUCH MORE that you get venemous wounds to proc; and because of the timings if done correctly you'll have an almost 100% uptime of the envenom buff, if you get into the habit of prioritizing envenom > rupture you're dps will plummet

Just a couple questions, Why do you put Instant Main-hand and deadly off? I often that mobs fall too fast for 5 deadly to even get up let alone envenom.. On top of that Deadly once hitting 5 stack will use instant anyways so wouldn't it be better for Deadly>Instant Mh?

Also do I want to stack hit for max dps or Mastery?

@Kioooi 1) Instant is main and deadly off simply for the time before hitting 5stack AND because when you get teh envenom BUFF (which is the true reason why we use instant main) your IP application rate is increased by 75%, and since your MH misses MUCH less than your OH, your application rate increases dramatically, keep in mind this is a RAID rotation, in 5mans you may find shit dying really quickly, but mutilate has a ton of ramp up anyway, so 5mans are not where it shines.

@Kioooi You want to stack hit till you hit 17.00% SPELL HIT CHANCE, at which point you need to go pretty heavily into mastery, i STRONGLY recommend you use askmrrobot com to help you itemize your gear correctly, as it simplifies the process down to nothing

@blaky158 About the garrote -> snd issue, thats just a clunk in the way the rotation starts, you basically have to deal with it. As to the 11k, its not HIGH, but at the same time its not terrible, my rogue last i played did about 13k ont he dummy and i did 21k dps in a 25man raid. Rogues are EXTREMELY buff reliant so don't let the numbers get you down.

@necronorris The talent murderous intent causes your backstab (which hits harder than mutilate) to refund you 30 energy, + glyphed when it crits u get another 5, which is a 25energy combo point builder that hits harder than mutialte and doesnt drain your energy so you'll hajve no downtime, which is also why you begin to use 5cp envenoms and 1cp ruptures at that point.

@PeterTLJr Whenever you use envenom you get a buff for a few seconds, duration depending on combo points used, that increases chance to apply DP, try to not overwrite it before it runs its whol eduration, unless waiting at 4+ Cps will put u over 90~ energy :D

@TheWindmillionaire dont use glyph of vendetta, its only good on argaloth and chimaeron. and the backstab glyph is STILL more of a dps boost. yes mut is better single target dps than combat, combat is better 2-3 target cleave, mutilate is better 8+ target AOE
