I'm glad this wasn't on the final release, personally. Heroine has a very tight and powerful thematic presentation, displaying a dark, distraught, and introspective view of Moore's mind. This doesn't portray that same idea, coming across as almost positive due to the key and the vocal melodies.
Heroine was a really good cd. its really the only cd by them that i could get into but i REALLY liked it, it was really unique . i guess this is as close as ill ever get to hearing anything new in that vain so its a pleasure to hear this!
I don;t like how FFTL's guitarist(s) changed their riffs to make it easier for the one to sing once Sonny quit. It would be cool if Sonny came back to the band, so he could go back to super metal riffs like Mothersound and they could do some Alice in Chains-esque duet vocals or something.

well i dont officially know but when a song usually throws off the whole feel of album that was going for praticular sound the album was going it usually doesnt make it to shelves and this is a bit different then the bunch so thats what im guessing

Agreed. Sonny's voice was ridiculously unique and filled with range. Utterly diverse as hell. I've never heard a frontman so young and so skilled with his voice. The dark theme to Heroine makes it the best combination of songs I've ever heard in an album ever. If you just listen to it through and think about it, you'll get chills at the vocal prowess of Sonny. I almost cry at hearing how amazing he is. Sonny did make the band. Matt's voice doesn't replace Sonny's by a long shot.

In all fairness if I heard Sonny then Matt with out ever hearing them before I would thought Matt had a better voice because it is more modern. I strongly disliked sonny's voice for the longest time, but his "whiny" sound deff goes well with their lyrics behind it. and the music, as well. in my opinion, sonny is better simply because he seems to put more emotion into what he sings. personally, FFTL is no where near as good as they were with sonny.

@marianightroad1 i know this is two years late but some sources say Sonny had a fallowing out along with other numerous reasons he left the band. That might have a lot to do with it.
