God damn, Brendan O'Brien their producer on Black Ice made Brian's singing even better. Brian was actually an amazing soul singer back in his days with Geordie (check out his version of house of the rising sun) before he joined AC/DC. Brian was always nervous to exercise this part of his singing because he believed the Young brothers preferred a strictly screamed vocals (like Back in Black). It sounds to me like Brian took that style into his singing generally and it breathes new life for me.
