It was really a tongue in cheek comment but it's generally accepted that it was a mechanical and not a driver error in the strictest sense. From what I understand, the tyres were not up to temperature and it bottomed out during that turn which made it impossible for him to correct. I suppose if you took another angle to that, you could say e should have been aware of that fact and not push the car so hard. Either way, Senna was before my time but what impressed me most was the manual tasking
Well all was changed after Imola, why to change something that seems to work ? Well electronics got all banned (Benetton still used tc and some stuff) and the cars was more difficult to drive. The following is history :D

@Morthelion Well didn't he work at Williams in 94? Isn't this his design? Frank Williams may have said "make me a fast car" but what he really meant was "Make me a fast car and push the limits of the design to the breaking point then back off an inch" They both killed Senna.
@supercooled Yes he did. Yes it was. But every teamboss wants a car as close to the limit as possible. It's not fair. I mean driving with 200+ kph into a wall with the safetyregulations back then...nearly no chance no matter which car you're driving.
