@dilt20 with the fittings at the bottom the oil drains out of the oil cooler when you shut the engine off so when you start it back up oil is delayed to the head until it partially fills up the oil cooler. with it mounted like that oil will only fill the bottom of the oil cooler and the rest of the cooler just has air. it does make changing oil a bit of a pain tho. i had my cooler mounted like yours until i found out
