i don't understand why God would convey scientific knowledge in the Bible.. it's extraneous. it's only necessary the further you get from God, so if His intentions were to keep man close to Him it seems counter-productive. Shortly after Darwin's death, Lady Hope told a gathering that she had visited Darwin on his deathbed & that he had expressed regret over evolution and had accepted Christ. However, Darwin's daughter Henrietta, who was with him during his last days, said Lady Hope never visited during any of Darwin's illnesses, & that he never recanted any of his scientific views.

He drew pictures of birds and turtles and said: yes, 47 million years ago, these creatures started to evolve from the same animal. This is what happends when they teach theories and call them cold stone facts...

He had 368 pages of notes on plants and animals as well as 1,383 pages of geological observations. @LatinPrayers Of course, 50-100 years from now almost all Christians will claim that their church believed in evolution all along and they'll even point to the Bible saying that it's all in there and how it proves the Bible to be truth. Science in the Bible? Do we really know how many libraries were burned by the religious? There were many scientific discoveries that got crushed. If some bit of science ended up in the bible I wouldn't be amazed at all. You could do a card trick in ancient times and it would be considered a miracle.

So God gave us knowledge a little bit at a time so as not to dazzle the ignorant. they thought Paul and Barnabus were gods because of a healing of a lame man. How ignorant was that. God only dazzled the ignorant and foolish a few times in the OT. Jesus dazzeled the crowd and some still did not believe..

Since humans stepped out of the caves, we were constantly expanding our circle of love to include more people. We now reject genocide, racism, incest, etc; things that were common centuries ago. We are in a crucial point in our development. Becoming completely spiritual by rejecting all evil is the next step. Atheism rejects Jesus, which represents 100% love, as a role model,which is a step back for consciousness. The time has come to raise our consciousness to the next level, is now or never.

Shortly after Darwin's death, Lady Hope told a gathering that she had visited Darwin on his deathbed & that he had expressed regret over evolution and had accepted Christ. However, Darwin's daughter Henrietta, who was with him during his last days, said Lady Hope never visited during any of Darwin's illnesses, & that he never recanted any of his scientific views.

He drew pictures of birds and turtles and said: yes, 47 million years ago, these creatures started to evolve from the same animal. This is what happends when they teach theories and call them cold stone facts...

@LatinPrayers Sooooo no never mind that he had accumulated 5,436 plant and animal specimens that had been dried or preserved in alcohol. He had 368 pages of notes on plants and animals as well as 1,383 pages of geological observations. In addition, he had a 770 page diary that was the basis for his later popular book of his narrative on the voyage. OK yeah sure maybe he faked all of it and in fact lived inside of a what all that time like some other guy. Maybe that is more believable to you.

@gisbrei He might start accepting evolution now. He's Catholic and I've just shown him that even the Vatican (Pope included, of course) believes in evolution. It might take a while for him to wrap his head around it, but "So sayeth The Shepherd so sayeth The Flock", as they say. If your religious belief system treads into the scientific arena and promotes it's own creation myths, then be prepared to get push back from those of us who understand the scientific process. There are just a lot of other stuff that I'm not to fluent in namely philosophy because when I was a heretic Protostent I was taught to stay away and I have yet to read St Augustine's City of God which I will do when I'm finished with my current readings. If I become a friar then I would be studying at the Pontifical University of Saint Thomas Aquinas in Rome. Did you attend a university?

Some believe that you're saved by grace alone while others believe that you're saved by works. Many, many will tell you that you're going to Hell because to don't go to church. You quote the Old Testament up and down when it suits your needs. I'm pretty sure that you're against homosexuals but what did Jesus have to say about that. Here's a hint: Nothing. You bring up Leviticus all the time yet ignore most of what it says.

Those who seek his kingdom shall find it and a door will be opened and they can go in and out according to their faith. But they must be careful of what they do and say in the Kingdom or there will be no more reprieves and the door will be shut to them. It will take much prayer and repentance for the door to open again. What the Lord gives he can also take away. Jesus calls us his little flock and few shall find that narrow path that leads to eternal life. I pray for my fellow Christians

@LatinPrayers Of course, 50-100 years from now almost all Christians will claim that their church believed in evolution all along and they'll even point to the Bible saying that it's all in there and how it proves the Bible to be truth. They did the same thing when the earth was proven to be a sphere and when they realized that the Geocentric model was wrong and they'll do it again with evolution.
