OHH that is what we figured lol but we were thinking Hawaii would be good place for memories cause we moved to Maine 3years ago with our 3 kids and in that time we have been homeless for almost 8 months then we got a place and 7 months from that our house burned to the ground lol it has been rough soo now i have the ability to give my family a awesome vacation and boy it will be one that will last forever....
Me and the wife are getting married this summer and are planning a trip to Oahu she wants to see pearl harbor Any SUGGESTIONS to good places to look for hot DEALS??
@Cartertown777 you have got to go to the polynesian cultural center! i admit it is a bit pricey but well worth the money because the buffet and the show are spectacular! pearl harbor is cool, hanauma bay is a must, the dole plantation has the best dole whip pineapple ice cream, but dont waste your money on any of the tours, north shore is beautiful, and the hike up diamondhead is well worth the workout!I it is a steep hike but the view is breathtaking! manoa falls trail is also beautiful!
In Hawaii, stay away from the local mokes, or bring a gun with you. The local people there are racist assholes who hate white people. All this advertising of "the friendly aloha state and it's warm people" is utter bullshit. They fucking hate travelers, especially if you're white. You best believe it. I lived there for years, only I lived in a guarded high rise condo, far away from the local monkeys. Fuck Hawaii. Just do a search for the ugly side of Hawaii most don't talk about.
Your experience is out of the ordinary compared to what others might experience. Perhaps special circumstances caused your experience to turn out that way, but to that to be of the status quo compared to others is wrong. it sounds like you lived downtown near waikiki since you mentioned living in a guarded high rise condo. Come to the west side where many military personnel choose to retire!
I myself have plenty of white friends even though I'm not white. Many of these friends attending high school with me here. To this day they live in Hawaii and cant imagine living anywhere else. No racism what so ever. Downtown gravitates criminals and less then hospitable people since many of the bars exist down there. To say we hate travelers is wrong. Perhaps your own attitude is what caused this negative experience. I know of a few people who are just to full of themsel
I'm a little bit afraid of water. Do I have to know how to swim to snorkel? Is the water deep? Can I wear a life jacket? I'm heading to Hawaii next week. Very excited. :)
To snorkel you should be able to swim, but yes, you can wear a life jacket. The water depth varies. When I went to Hanauma bay the average depth was about 8 feet, but there were some areas that were like 50 feet deep.
@sanmiguel805 haha true that! I was there on saturday and it's so annoying seeing people in their life jackets. I would've snorkeled naked if it was allowed.
people are always like I wish I lived in Hawaii and things like that stay a couple of days but not any longer because then it isnt special and you star to take it for granted to theres a really clear sunny postcard day where your like wow thats beautiful but till you get one of those you pretty much just take it for granted we need the money not to be mean a lot of tourist are nice but just when your driving dont drive 2 miles and hour on the hyw looking at the ocean or the mountains or the map
i been there once but it was scary as hell cause i went into one of those cave things under water and a friggen electric eel popped out a hole right in front of my face..I pissed my pants
