I have to admit that this is pretty intense for a kid's show...Shame that it's stuck with 80's-era animation, which means that is had practically no energy to it.

It was so sweet seeing the ugly old troll who was a jerk find a friend to love him. Trolls are people too and undreneath it all he had a hurting heart. He may have been a pain in the bazoo making them risk their lives but it goes to show you diamonss and jewels are NOT your best friends. I miss the GENIUS of 80s cartoons like this!

Thank you for posting this! When I was really little, I watched the beginning of this and then stopped because I wasn't supposed to be watching cartoons... and then that night I went to bed and couldn't sleep because I was thinking about everybody dying without water! It bothered me for weeks! It was great to finally see the end; the six-year-old in me is finally satisfied. So funny to see Andrea saying almost the same thing, too. Again, thanks! :-)

Thank you SO MUCH for posting this! When I was very little my mother used to tape this series for me because it was on at a time when I couldn't watch it. The tape ran out of room right before the fourth installment of this story. I remember this storyline because it's always bothered me that I didn't know how it ended, but now I know!! THANKS!!! :-D

Aww, you're welcome, my mom would do the same thing! Our tape always ran out at the worst parts! And the pony shows sure know how to make some cliffhangers! It's like torture for a kid not knowing what happens. XD

@okuni2 You too? Same here. Before it was a series it was on when I was in school and my little sister had halfday preschool and we didn't have a VCR yet...sucked. But then it became a cartoon series and it came on at the dumbest time, right when my mom would hustle me out the door for school. Hated that. But then we got our VCR!

But the troll probably knew that they didn't really mean to include that one when they told him to undo the wishes, and he certainly wouldn't *want* to undo the friend one, so he just undid the others. There's no reason to assume his magic wouldn't let him undo all the wishes except one.

When I was little I rented this in my near videoclub, as a movie, even though I knew they where a bunch of episodes put together, but I could never follow the continuity on tv anyways. I loved it back then and wanted to rent it again to record the songs, unfortunately that video rental store went bankrupt and when I looked for this on Blockbuster years later, I had no luck either! It was great to watch it again and sing along! (in spanish xP )
