something VERY important you forgot to mention in this video was the 2 types of smoke alarms.
ionization and optical
ionization respond quickly to fast flaming fires but not so good for slow smoldering fires: ie: overheated electrical wiring.
optical respond quickly to slow smoldering fires but don't act as quickly to detect fast flaming fires.
as both work slightly differently and both detect different size smoke particles. both will detect the smoke eventually.
so best to have both types
