You make good points, she did not come through in the final from an attacking perspective. Unfortunate because historically she has a great outside shot and has had success in pressure situations before (see 2008 Olympic gold medal game vs. Brazil). In attacking situations it would have done her a lot better to compose herself, and find Abby Wambach or another player who excels at finishing. This is something that Lauren Cheney and Megan Rapinoe do very well.
About the "Pressure Makes Us" campaign- wtf Nike? Talk about bad karma, they totally set them up to fail by proclaiming that they succeed when under pressure. They even played that damn commercial right after they lost in the final. I think we mostly agree though, my main point was that Carli Lloyd played a good game from a possession standpoint, which is in my opinion the greatest responsibility of the center mids. Wish she would have been more successful in the attacking third.

Wasn't successful in the semi and final but shes still a great mid field player. I literally was so pissed at her specifically afterward but PK doesn't mean 100% guarantee goal. She's still one of my favorite player.

@NearsL lol - i guess you could go to nike's website and check out the sizing charts in the lady's shirt... but what i've seen some guys do is - order a men's jersey and customize it with a WNT's player name... if that made any sense lol - like they will order the MNT jersey but add Rapinoe 15 on the back or something like that... cuz unfortunately nike has yet to make male apparel - so you guys can represent and support the WNT :)

You realize what separates a pro from a college or semi pro player is not foot work, but it's how you react in a game, it's the endurance, and it's your vision of the field. Can you find that space before an opposing defender takes you out? You realize pele himself said he's glad he never had to face Mia Hamm. But okay, argue with the legend. Speed and power mean only so much.

And even if you have that vision to play the passes through to your striker, would the striker need power and speed to hold of and run from the defender.. I watched some games and i didn't see one player with these qualities.. They barely made a good cross without pressure, and they can't shoot, they don't hit the target and even if they did they wouldn't have enough power to make the goal..

@96fotball you're kidding... lol you only see what you want to, I saw plenty of nice crosses, and again, we don't NEED to be faster, we just need to pass quickly. And we don't call Marta the woman 'Messi' sorry to break it to ya, he does killer cuts and juggles the ball around, marta does that and more. I've watched PLENTY of his games, and I am a fan of his. And placement will do enough, I can hit a target better than you I'm sure...
