Modern CEREC restorations are unbeatable, provided that the dentist follows strict protocols taking into consideration the ceramic material being used + the way that the tooth is prepared. LESS tooth removal is the norm in a virgin situation, and desirable. NOTE: traditional ways of preparing a tooth are not conducive to long term CEREC success. Flat topped preparations, which are NOT taught in dental school, are. Bottom line, find someone good and experienced; it can be unbeatable.

@anotheraka That is a very very old video, CEREC 2 from the 90's, CEREC and a very well trained dentist can give you the best restoration you could put in your tooth.

Cerec is fantastic I had a fairly large filling needed replacing and the availability of a cerec 3 at my dentist meant I could have the thing replaced accurately and with maximimum structural integrity in one vist. All done within 90 minutes. The result was nothing less than awesome. I can highly recommend this style of restoration (in the hands of a skilled dental surgeon with the bucks to afford the technology). Nothing else comes close. Amazing cosmetic and structural results!!

I love cerec! As a dentist that cares about quality over profit I get to replace all of the lovely cerec restorations that are being done by another local dentist. The margins are wide open and there is incredible sensitivity. I love the business! Keep selling this crap to the unwary to keep me in business!! GO PATTERSON DENTAL! Cerac sucks and are failing all over the country. Make sure your dentists uses an AMERICAN laboratory, see the bill and make sure he isnt outsourcing to china, or using this crap.
