why didn't she just say that Windows 8 will support running Windows Phone 7 apps? That would've been a lot easier and would've made a lot more sense, since WP7 IS relevant to XDA, and the fact that Windows 8 will support apps from WP7 obviously means cross compatible developments to be made.

@DDRFAN No offense, but what you just said is redundant. No shit a Windows operating system can support Windows apps. No shit Windows 8 can run softwares made for previous Windows versions. Hell, Windows 7 already had the backward compatibility as well as Windows XP Mode. That's not the point though. It's the very fact that Windows 8 is the first Windows to also support apps from a mobile device standpoint, i.e the Windows Phone 7. That's why it makes it relevant to XDA, which is about mobiles.
