  • I'm all about the glamor length!

  • and on the 90's a toy for girls like this came D= but it was like 10000000 times cooler because it came with glitter! lol

  • The glamour length is the dragon lady!

  • i think that in the 80 they made that glue a bit better then now , cos now , if u "press on " the preglued nails .....they hold for an hour , and u cant do a think with them on !!! :-( . i didnt use those then . i was a litle girl , so i dont remember those nails . Look nice thow .

  • Wore 'em to my junior prom, May 1987. In hot pink.

  • Where is the commercial which listed the different colors you could get? Sugar Plum! Bing Cherry! Fiesta!

  • these were the best to make your girl put on right before a handjob

  • Is it wrong of me to want these? xD

  • @angelbubbls they never stayed on! the adhesive sucked

  • This look like claws but today nails are so much better.

  • @cupcake8704 yeah the really long look was in

  • classic..hahaha...they really are so much better today!

  • Sometimes you just have to wonder who tested these and thought they worked...

But I'm not gonna lie, I totally have tried those when I was a kid!

  • @dramabelle1 me too i used to when get them when i was little but they never stayed on

  • ahahaha i have the glamour length!!!!

  • I remember the lines to the whole commercial! Too funny.

  • i dont like press on nails sometimes they dont stck and you only have a limited amount of them so you cant do it over and over again!

  • love those nails so beautful

  • i just bought some nails yesterday and they came with glue and the tape thingys in it, when i was little i used to always use those tape thingys but they dont work they suck

  • So guilty of wearing these! I remember begging my Nana to buy me zebra-print ones from Caldor's... and waking up the next morning to find some of my nails missing in the bed :(

  • Oh the memories... Lee Press on nails was the WORSE. The cheap glue was like taking a glue stick and wishing for your nails to last just for one day lol.

But at last... fast forward 20 years later an press on nails have definitely changed. I wear them now they are so cool

  • Omg, I still have this whole commercial memorized and I'm 37!!! My kids think I'm nuts!!

  • lol

  • The main thing I remember is my friends who wore them suddenly going into a panic because they'd lost a nail. :)

  • I begged for these forever until my mom gave in. Then I remember waking up with nails stuck to my leg.

  • hahahahhaaa... thats funny.

  • well i wasnt alive in the 80's :P...but ummm this looks cute :D.....but....those lil sticky ahesive tape thingys dnt work..so were they better thn..or as u all say...fall out in your hair and in the street :P

  • dont you just love it

  • "Lee Press-on nails...no chipping ever!" OMG, my sister and I used to repeat this commercial over and over. We even stuck those little plastic things from "Trouble" (that board game) over the tips of our fingers and pretended we were wearing fake nails. lol

  • This commercial aired about once every 5 minutes in the 80s. I also remember seeing a lot of solo press onnails that had popped off inadvertenly lying in the street and other places.

  • Yes, simply press n' go! ...

But don't try to open a car door or touch your hair..or light a cigarette wearing them hahaha.

    Oh the 80's..lol.

  • I think they released "active length" later due to so many complaints - shorter so you could function or something.

  • lol

  • @g0thmoth LOL i used to buy those when i was a kid and they never stayed on long, the adhesive was not strong enough at all! love the 80s though, the best decade ever!

  • glamour length

    lolz

  • i used to love these. i remember they used to always get stuck in my hair.

  • my mother loves them!

  • I so glad I found this video! I used to watch General Hospital in the 80's and no lie they used to show this comercial at least 6 times an episode. Many, many years later I realized that I knew the entire thing by heart. I never tried to learn it, but somehow it stuck. To this day it's my "stupid human trick". I was sure I would have had a word or two wrong, but I had every one right even down to the final PRESS ON!

    Thanks for the memories.

  • they make it look so easy, but when you actually buy the product, it's harder that it looks...^__^

  • i want these now

  • Kewl commercial; they were fly back then.

  • um......y nor just grow ur nails.shape them and then put on nailpolish!!!

  • I totally agree with you but...not all women were blessed with strong natural fingernails. Sad but true.

  • Some people's nails grow very thin and break before they reach a good length.

  • I remember those commercials!! But in my opinion those weren't so bad back then. It got really bad in the mid 90's when they started getting really long.

  • Ahhh... Lee Press-On Nails. THE definitive '80s TV game show parting gift.

  • I miss these!! Of course, they wouldn't stay on my nails for long, but they were still fun!

  • These were the shiz. Even men wanted them! I loved watching the commercials!!!

  • No wonder alot of chicks in the 80s had long red nails, that bought those suckers!

  • funny.... i remember saying " I want those", of course they never stayed on...
