  • Thank you !

  • Man, thank you so much, I just got done putting in all new injectors in my 91 tt. Your video helped me so much. Took it out, all 6 cylinders and firing now!

  • Hey man this video was super helpful. I'm about to yank the plenum off my tt engine to swap injectors before I swap it in and to be honest... The VG intimidates me compared to my old KA24DEs... Very helpful video.

  • @SWZ32TT just remember pulling the tt plenum is a little different than the n/a

  • .... brown? WTH? since when they make brown trim?

  • @rhyboy1 I think its considered tan interior. And since 1990 lol

  • Excellent How-To! I keep coming back to your vid for wire and hose placement, the repair manual doesn't explain this very well.

  • @redwolfmendoza thanks yea the engine bay is a mess of wires and hoses.

  • How much differrent is the TT???? Thanks for the video!! seemed helpful!! Peace!!!

  • @pepp5150 I think everything is the same with the exception of all the things associated with the turbos. Some of the different parts may be in different places from on the n/a though. there is a link in the info on the tt version.

  • just wanna say thnx, this helped me ALOT!!! i came here from the 300zxclub took me 3 hours by myself... thanks man

btw TyJamesTT is a fucking idiot...

  • Helpful hint: For the Egr tubes, i have a short socket wrench that fits perfectly in there. Its a craftsman and is only a few inches long.

  • @Dantesdoom if your talking about the ratcheting wrenches I have the gearwrench set and the metal around the ratcheting part hits the egr tube. Maybe the craftsman wrenches are different though.

  • @kawininja91 Yeah its a tight fit, but it worked. Little sucker has come in handy many times on my Z.

  • Man what did you use or how did you go about getting the injector cap screws broke loose? I don't know why they used phillips head screws but they sure won't be going back lol. Thanks for all your help.

  • lol you skipped some MAJOR parts. i followed this step by step exactly like you've shown and it's still being held on by something i can't see... worthless video.

  • @TyJamesTT is your z a ttz? if so then this guide wont work as its for an n/a z which is stated in the info. if you have an n/a check your pcv hoses they may still be attached.

  • hey cant you just unplug the negative battery terminal to avoid removing the sensors or that will still mess up the sensors?

  • @JDMforever11 you remove the sensors so that you have enough room to pull the plenum

  • @kawininja91 oh ok

  • can you make a video on how to put the small hoses back wher they go.

  • @thirdeyedopeness car is gone but it shouldn't be to hard. iirc there are two small hoses each goes under the left and right throttle body. There are the two pcv hoses. The 3 i believe hoses that go to the balance tube. The egr vacuum hoses that go from the top of the egr to the egr solenoid and then out that long tube to the intake hoses. there are 2 i believe hoses that go to the intake hoses that are a little bigger. The break booster hose, and just put the idle air hose back on.

  • So where's the best place to buy the delete kits like the EGR block off kit and the water lines?

  • Yeah sounds a bit to risky to dremel to me as well not to mention there is still going to be a problem getting the injectors out cleanly. Your post has given me the confidence to do it myself and as I have chromed so many parts I think it's a better idea for me to do it as well. I think I put the wrong spark plugs into it as well going by what Auto Zone gave, I now have the correct part is: NGK PFR6G-11 so I going to replace those as well.

  • I take it you replaced all (6)? I have heard of paople getting them out without removing the plenum but I don't see how. Thanks for all the help.

  • @wild300zx na just middle one on the left. Yea people sometimes use a dremel to file down the plenum to get a screw driver on the injector caps. Its kinda pointless gets the top of the engine all dirty with metal shavings and could possibly put a hole in ur plenum if not carefull. Pulling the plenum only takes maybe 2 hrs or so not even that long if you have deleted things. People are just afraid of the unknown and dont want to mess somthing up.

  • May I ask, Why did you pull yours off to begin with? I'm replacing fuel injectors.

  • @wild300zx I pulled it off this time to make this video. Also the z i was pulling it off of was rear ended but not considered totaled not sure how but i wasn't about to fix it so i was parting it out and pulling parts off. I had to replace an injector the summer before this so thats how i know how to do it.

  • wow. amazing video, you just did a great job,

  • Wow! I am pretty sure I have a bad fuel injector after swapping coil packs around, changing coil pack connectors with no result. So I am pretty sure the #3 fuel injector is bad and I was dredding having to pay a shit ton to have them changed. Hopefully I can remember all that needs to go back on and do it myself with the help of your video.

  • @wild300zx good luck. The first time doing it will be a little scary only because you will have a mess of hoses and connectors. After you finish it you should be an expert in the area.

  • This is probably the most helpful video on the web for doing a plenuum pull! i was just wondering why you deleted your water lines and what is the purpose of connecting those fuel lines at the end of the vid? thanks!

  • @Cloydoinitgood reason for deleting them is they could potentially leak in which you would need to pull the plenum again, it has no side effect, and it makes pulling the plenum easier with less hoses and clutter. The fuel line at the end was to connect where the water line first starts to go under the plenum with the water line that the hose from under the plenum would end up at. It just makes a bypass for the coolant to flow through.

  • Hey brother can I get this video from you with it being uploaded to megaupload or something? It's super great to have as I want to do this same procedure to replace my injectors soon.

  • On RHD cars is the relay on the drivers side or the passenger side inside the cockpit?

  • @JDMAero im not sure. Instead of pulling the relay like I did in this video you can just go to the fuse box and pull the fuel pump fuse. It will accomplish the same thing with less work.

  • wish this was made when i was doing mine haha good info though and u threw in the water bypass wich is what i didnt do when i pulled mine cause i didnt know what hoses to connect

  • Nice video, I'm sure it will help a lot of people. There is no need to stick rags in the TB's, as the butterflies will prevent anything going in.

  • @sim300 Yea I know the butterflys will keep the stuff out but in most of the write ups it says to put them in there so I included it any ways.

  • amazing vid 5* dood....just pulled my engine today...na also...this helps a lot.

  • Awesome!

  • great vid !

  • Someone sticky this on the forums in tech.

  • Good info, thanks for the upload
