the scientific name for tomato is 'lycopercium esculentum'.so i like to keep thn name for the chutney which u prepared is 'vato chut' [va-varaveh,to-tomato;chut-chutney].how is my definition is it nice
The recepie was great, but why do u say 'little bit' for everything. I don't get a sense of measure in your videos other than guessing from how much I think u are putting while seeing it. Please give measurements and avoid too much of 'little bit' please.
awesome chutney sanjay.. my husband made it at home nd we enjoyed eating it with rice,...it was really tasty and the best part , it was crunchy with the nuts...
Hi sanjay am smitha. i like ur recipes i tried vegmanchurian, jonnarotte, rasmailai, veg biryaani etc...all are delicious. my husband also always says tat just watch sanjays vedio n prepare it.
sanjay.. your recipes are really good... but cut down the amount of oil you use... anyways thanks for sharing all kinds of recipes with everyone.. :) good luck..
I made this chutney today. It came out so good. I added little onion also as I usually do. In my opinion you don't have to cook that long. Just barely 5-6 min is more than enough.
Respected Sir, My blessings. To watch this tomato chutney i have wasted more than 40 minutes. you should do something to have the video at a stretch. Baba the world is too fast, Without break, you can give your video. Pl.do something. With regards. Try.Bhava, Chenni
You definitely have some magic in your hands. I learned lot of cooking looking at your shows and now I am making very tasty food.my husband never used to say that he likes but these days he keeps among me how come I improved a lot. I should definitely thank you for taking time to share such a wonderful recipe. You are god's gift to us.

I watched your show in preparing tomato chutney and enjoyed so much. I love cooking and prepare different dishes for my family and my children love to eat. I will prepare this chutney tomorrow. thank you for sharing from your video preparation. sainathan
I have seen a few of your videos. My judgement is that your recipes are sensible and nicely presented. I shall try them out. Tamarind frying is new to me. Nuts in chutney is new as well. Thanks for your recipes.
@1652youtoo hey, you could probably just reduce the oil in your version, and either less salt, or use salt substitute. Morton makes salt substitute, which you can find in your local grocery store.
I am samyupondy's daughter my name is samyutha i love your shows verrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrry much you are funny and i am telugu my mother wote that samyupondy comment my email id is samyuthakk@.gmail.com pleaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaas send reply Sanjay Uncleeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

u luk so happy wid cooking food wich makes me think, wat d hell was i cuking all these years? i never knew many secrets wich u share wid us!! u r real gud, man!
I dunno dude, I make a pretty slick tomato chutney that is pretty busy and includes sambar powder. You can make lots of different kinds of tomato chutneys. I like mine almost like achar, so it has a big tarka and is very masaledar.
Sanjay here uses whole garlic cloves. Just an advice on garlic: always use chopped or smashed garlic for it's medicinal value. It's the acid in garlic that comes out when smashed or chopped into little pieces that's good for health. If whole cooked whole, it has no medicinal value.
I don't know how much of it makes it into the body after the typical Indian frying / cooking. LOL.
I am a Bengali wife - most of the time cooking rice n curry. First time visited your site, went thru your recipes. Tried them & loved them.Tomato chutney (with mint) is my fav! Thanks a lot!
Sanjay, It is amazing that you teach so many dishes that too in 8/9 minutes, I have learned lot of dishes by watching your video, my family members have started appreciating my cooking. All the credit goes to you.
I forgot to tell you, his mother makes the most wonderful tomatoe chutney. I'm embarassed to say that I just don't eat it a teaspoonful at a time on the side of my plate. I can make a meal out of this stuff. My Goodness.

tomato chutney should be simple and not so much rich. It is tomota+onion+chilli+salt
cashew nut is too much
oil is three much
cooking time is four much
any how it was good

I always make tomato thokku(Similar to pickle) & keep it stored for several days. I use sesame oil in it which gives very distinct flavor.
This also goes very well when you are on a tour & it stays fresh for several days without refrigeration.
