He should resign, not because of the adultery and stupidity (most politicians are stupid) but because he put his own personal needs above those of the people that elected him. Bad form on his part.

I suppose he could still run for President and get John Edwards as his running mate. They would need to come up with some sort of catchy campaign slogan I guess. Something like, "Tired of dishonest politicians? Vote for us because we've got *screw-pals*." :)

The whole story sounded fishy to me from the start. Why would a father not be home for Father's Day, and no one seemed to know where he was. Guess he was thinking with the wrong head.

Hi Terry, we couldn't have made up a more ridiculous scenario for the governor's downfall if we had tried. This is only the latest example of dumb trumping all else, so I agree with you that his "dumbness" is the greater offense, by far. Heaven help us all with yahoos like this running the show.
