I think the percentages are right on. I go to a private reputable college (just became University) and am working on my MBA. Half the people in the class room should not be there! But they're passing. So I would rather attend a school that is challenging and only passing a % of the students (BECAUSE ITS SUPPOSED TO BE HARD) instead of some school that will give an idiot the same degree as I will.

I thought Kaplan was actually a real college. I had no idea what Kaplan was and it seemed really reputable too. So I had to do more investigation. Plus I remember when I was investigation more about help programmes for things like standardized testing, I thought Kaplan courses were legit too. So IDK anymore, Um similarly to the Princeton review prep courses?

I never knew Kaplan was a for profit university. I think others who are not really familiar with American university and education system, they may be confused or maybe not sure what is what and not too familiar with the concept of FOR PROFIT. Sometimes for us in our minds who are not used to different systems we try to compare it to something we know. Or maybe at times we try to understand the concept. HMMM

I knew Kaplan was owned by The Washington Post. Up here in the New England region, they own a slew of for profits targeted for the area: Hesser College and Kaplan Career Institute (formerly RETS Techinical Center). I have seen so many people up here get disappointed by these two schools its not even funny. Don't even get me started on the commercials that play during the day.

However when I was living in the Northern region of California, they did actually billboard style adverts for UCD UCB and UCSC. They do advertise, these larger universities in other ways like in magazines ETC. I think simply because they advertise does not make it a scam. Maybe it is that they advertise on television they mean?

Can everyone stop complaining about the studio until it's actually finished? It's going to take more than a week and obviously things will be off until it's done. The scariest thing about these scam colleges is that they were at least around my high school constantly. Whenever there was a career fair, 75-80% of the colleges there were for-profit. And at least 5 or 6 times a year, often in multiple classes, we'd get some dumbassed presentation from these shit schools. They're clearly trying to suck in those who would be least likely to actually do research on the school and just take everything they say without question.
