  • this dude looks like a zombie, hes not getting my brain.

  • Can u send me the tabs

  • Why dont my hammers sound that clear? Mine are really faint

  • @theDSgraphics the hammers take practice, just hit down on the string hard and keep practicing it.

  • lovely thankya

  • Great video man, best tutorial I've seen so far anyway! But just so you know, Faulkner actually plays it tuned a half step down from that, C# F# C# F# G# C#..

  • Is there a studio version of Newton playing this tune? Or is it only the elevator version? Nice lesson, man!

  • I Love G strings :)

  • It's actually a tone flatter, for the tuning. Although Live, he sometimes plays it as you've tuned it.

  • Thanks a lot :)

  • well - now youve made it a piece of pish

  • Best tutorial I've seen! thanks! ^^ I usually play by ear but this one had me confused >_< and yes, you DO look like Kurt! XD Off now to have a little practice before the next tutorial! XD thanks again!

  • his accent is too distracting.....quite nice

  • he's accent is too distracting....hmmmm.....quite nice ( :

  • i like you (:

  • I lolled a little you siad D-string then G-string haha

  • Thanks mate Ive wanted to play this for soooo long!!!!

  • Tuning: - Db Gb Db Gb Bb Db. So open Db(?) tuning

  • @Razzie12 open G tuning

  • This tuning just does not sound right. The first note of the base line sounds pingy and off.

  • Since each separate part is pretty simple to play, the only thing you really need to practice is the rhythm when it all comes together. The lazy way to practice is without downtuning - just use open E, A and D strings instead of bass chords.

  • Good idea to play the A and D notes on the fifth fret though - so you can nail the pinky hammers.

    Brilliant tutorial

    Cheers

  • thats not the same tuning as newton, apart from that its the exact same way as him, whats the actual tuning?

  • I believe the actual tuning is C#, F#, C#, F#, A#, C#.

Although, you never actually hear the B string so the A# might just be lies!

  • the tuning of the original is different right?

    what is the original tuning?

  • thong? no....... just clothes hangers. :)

  • is thatta THONG hangin up in the bacc?

  • you like Kurt Cobain a little bit :D

  • @iC00Ler More like John Malkovich

  • Great tutorial mate. The most clear and understandable one I've seen on the net yet.

I've sussed out how to play it now, but still can't play whilst doing the beat. A bit more practise needed.

    cheers.

  • well 15 mins in and i cannot see the light at the end of the tunnel but who knows...if this works its gonna rock! nice tutorial, thanks
