IT'S A REMAKE PEOPLE. Go watch a run through of the originals. This is going to be a great remake of an old 2d side scrolling game. Plus with real story and an actual showing of the doctor, I'm stoked. Also love that according to EGM we can unlock the originals by playing this version, that's basically 4 games in one. Can't wait till fall.

It's a remake of an old game, the original was a simple side scroll beat them up. It was hard and gory as fuck - it looks like we're getting actual story to it, and according to the people working on it, they're keeping it as true to the old one as possible.

I think it looks great and will be a good challenging game. Kinda hope they have a easy mode like Bayonetta so I can play though it for the story once, then play on normal/hard for a real challenge.

But that just made the revenge oh so sweeter. The reason we loved the original splatterhouse was because of the fear it struck into our hearts and the endless barrage of enemys that seemed impossible to beat! and it looks like this game brings that to us. The arcade game will be included in the new game as an unlockable, along with Splatterhouse 2 & 3 which were originally on the Genesis/Mega Drive.
