The elusive so-called Higgs particle (if that's what you want to call that piece of the puzzle) will not appear so magically as they hope. The reason is that they are looking for the answer in the wrong place. It doesn't exist in a somewhere because it is in an everywhere that they can't be at one moment of time I should think.

LHC is a particle collider, not a animal-mutater. Also, giant size bug can not survive since due to its size. Its organ can not support its size.

cant wait. Its been a long time but I know its going to be worth it.

Im betting they find Higgs and s few more heavy quarks but no supersymmetry particles (I dont think they exixst). Wont bother me if they do but I have to make a prediction.
