And there was this one show he did, when a lady called in and told george about the permanent shadow person on her wall, and george told her to talk to it, and touch it, and it got bigger... that was cool and she was freaking out too.

I love George and Art. I even like Ian. All three have they're own style, and coast to coast is by far the most intelligent thing on radio. Not all shows are alien abductions and ghosts, though those are good topics, but last night there was a great show with Ian about gender roles. This show covers such a wide range of interesting topics, you won't find a more interesting thing on air.
I remember when Ian was in Atlanta on local radio, called him a few times! I like the remote viewing programs a lot, it's a credible topic, having been initiated by the government itself, so anyone who says all these shows are phony isn't listening enough. They have lots of good topics, others not quite so credible.
I was going to say the same thing about him being too soft, too nice on his guests. He strikes me as a bit old fashioned, and a bit of an old fuddy duddy. I think the difference between the on air styles of Art and George comes from the fact that Art remains agnostic in his beliefs even w/all of his cosmic experiences. George on the other hand is firm in his knowing of all things spritual and metaphysical. So there is not alot of room for argument.
I actually paid to see this "special". It was stunningly unimpressive. I can't recall ANY of them getting anything right and overlooked lots of things you would think they'd pick up on. "Psychics" often never see things like Katrina or the rise of politicians like Obama or assassinations or so many other things.
Ed Dames is a proven fraud. He was member of some psych group but somebody discovered that he was never a leading member and has little or nothing to do with US intelligence. Just an other loser who wants attention or to make a buck.
George Noory - He's a horrible radio host, only lobs soft questions to wackos. Ian (weekend guy)is alot more skeptical and makes for great radio. Art Bell was the best good balance of having an open mind and skeptisism.

Well Art is the original! First time I've seen George's picture. Love them both. Been listening since '97, not much lately but enjoyed many a good program. Too bad so many phoneys bring their fabrications to his show and exploit any crdibility there might be! So many plants calling up with their pranks too.

If you have listened to the show for say, 3 weeks, you pretty much have heard all shows. It is the same crap over and over and mostly BS. With Noory you get much more religious topic and shows that feed on human imagination and fears. Then he runs with it. He has most of the audience convinced he is buying what he is selling.
It would rule if Art Bell came back.I don't think he would though; I don't think he really wants to. And you're right, George Noory is dull as shit. He's far too neutral, never has an opinions that steer the conversation with his guests and often sounds plain bored.
I met him when he came to Seattle. In person he also seems to be really into himself. His TV show I predict will be canceled. He can't carry the show like Art Bell does. Art will be back when the ratings drop because of Noory. Although the subject matter is interesting, Noory isn't. Ian P. will probably take over and the new chick on Sundays is really good too and both of them have a thousand times more personality than snoory does.

It's truly amazing how Sean David Morton is still being taken seriously (not to mention the others). Goes to show the gullible will believe anything as long as it gives them what they want.
The big problem with George Noory is that he (unlike Art) is never really listening to what his guests are saying...he is always just waiting for the moment he can break in and say some totally disconnected thing. It is really rude actually. Art asks follow up questions and lets the interview flow instead of inserting stupid non-sequitors. Guest: "So we know that dinosaurs are related to birds." George: "So, do you believe in angels? I sure do!"
This is sad, but true, though I still like the guy, but man I wish he'd just trust his instinct and allow a natural response to flow, a more relevant response.
Yeah, it's actually pretty funny sometimes. He will repeat the same questions about three times a show. I sometimes get the sense he's playing Spider Solitaire or something. Another thing he does is the irrelevant, vacuous pop culture references, generally involving Eyes Wide Shut or Twilight Zone. Still, he's far less angry and arrogant that Art, which makes him a better host, IMO. Ian's my favorite host. Too bad he's not the weeknight guy.
You know, I think I've changed my mind a little about Ian. He's getting a rather pronounced attitude on him. He often just dismisses his callers' views without really bothering to put forth a meaningful rebuttal. I hate that in talk show hosts.
I will always love Art Bell and his show. It got me through alot of lonely nights, as I know it did many others. It's a real shame Art no longer does the Mon-Fri shows, because the direction George Noory has taken the show (too christian, to biblical) is a damn shame and is making legions of fans like myself only listen when Art is hosting on weekends. Please fully take over the reigns again Art, we need you!

I love George and Art. I even like Ian. All three have they're own style, and coast to coast is by far the most intelligent thing on radio. Not all shows are alien abductions and ghosts, though those are good topics, but last night there was a great show with Ian about gender roles. This show covers such a wide range of interesting topics, you won't find a more interesting thing on air.

I remember when Ian was in Atlanta on local radio, called him a few times! I like the remote viewing programs a lot, it's a credible topic, having been initiated by the government itself, so anyone who says all these shows are phony isn't listening enough. They have lots of good topics, others not quite so credible.

I was going to say the same thing about him being too soft, too nice on his guests. He strikes me as a bit old fashioned, and a bit of an old fuddy duddy. I think the difference between the on air styles of Art and George comes from the fact that Art remains agnostic in his beliefs even w/all of his cosmic experiences. George on the other hand is firm in his knowing of all things spritual and metaphysical. So there is not alot of room for argument.

Notice that there is no record of a "psychic" predicting the 9/11 tragedy before it happened, but a lot of these frauds said they did after the fact.

I actually paid to see this "special". It was stunningly unimpressive. I can't recall ANY of them getting anything right and overlooked lots of things you would think they'd pick up on. "Psychics" often never see things like Katrina or the rise of politicians like Obama or assassinations or so many other things.

If you have listened to the show for say, 3 weeks, you pretty much have heard all shows. It is the same crap over and over and mostly BS. With Noory you get much more religious topic and shows that feed on human imagination and fears. Then he runs with it. He has most of the audience convinced he is buying what he is selling.

I met him when he came to Seattle. In person he also seems to be really into himself. His TV show I predict will be canceled. He can't carry the show like Art Bell does. Art will be back when the ratings drop because of Noory. Although the subject matter is interesting, Noory isn't. Ian P. will probably take over and the new chick on Sundays is really good too and both of them have a thousand times more personality than snoory does.

The big problem with George Noory is that he (unlike Art) is never really listening to what his guests are saying...he is always just waiting for the moment he can break in and say some totally disconnected thing. It is really rude actually. Art asks follow up questions and lets the interview flow instead of inserting stupid non-sequitors. Guest: "So we know that dinosaurs are related to birds." George: "So, do you believe in angels? I sure do!"

Yeah, it's actually pretty funny sometimes. He will repeat the same questions about three times a show. I sometimes get the sense he's playing Spider Solitaire or something. Another thing he does is the irrelevant, vacuous pop culture references, generally involving Eyes Wide Shut or Twilight Zone. Still, he's far less angry and arrogant that Art, which makes him a better host, IMO. Ian's my favorite host. Too bad he's not the weeknight guy.

I will always love Art Bell and his show. It got me through alot of lonely nights, as I know it did many others. It's a real shame Art no longer does the Mon-Fri shows, because the direction George Noory has taken the show (too christian, to biblical) is a damn shame and is making legions of fans like myself only listen when Art is hosting on weekends. Please fully take over the reigns again Art, we need you!
