Is the FT/NASTI progressive or regressive? Here is the quote from one of the Beacon Hill treatises on the AFT site:
"The key result of the foregoing discussion is that it matters fundamentally how one frames the discussion of the distributional effects of the FairTax. When people are sorted by expenditure per capita, the FairTax is progressive; when they are sorted by income per capita, it is regressive."
Those who undertand what this means now understand what a bad idea the "Fair" Tax is.
After the FairTax, our standard of living will improve for a few reasons. We'll pay LESS per person for taxes because MORE people (illegals and criminals) will finally be paying taxes. Prices will likely DROP because companies will no longer have the expense of hiring tax experts, which right NOW costs about $900 per person in the US. Oh! And the poor will be completely untaxed without waiting in lines for tax help. We'll wonder why it too us so long.
I agree -- this crazy Fairtax is Alice In Wonderland Crazy.
This would be the highest tax in the world.
Its a gas tax -- all gasoline would pay it. Its a utility tax - all utilities pay it. Its a medical tax, a surgery tax, a dental tax, a rent tax, a food tax, a phone tax, a cable tax, a new home tax, a rent tax, a funeral tax, an airline tax,.
A car repair tax, a chemotherapy tax, a nursing care tax, a child care tax, a realtor tax, a home improvement tax. The list is endless.

The Fair Tax is most progressive and will bring jobs back to the US.
The false argument s put forth by the government are all made up for in higher wages and lower costs.
The best part is it takes the special interest lobby out of government and gives power back to the people.
Ask yourself why politicians hate the Fair Tax?
It returns the power to the people!
