  • I consider it one of the great fortunes of my life to have seen Bill probably 20 or more times in concert. He would always take my requests. I loved watching and hearing him play his mandolin, nobody else comes close, nobody! And his high clear tenor, what a combination.

  • Bill was the Father of Bluegrass, a music he was the Master of. He stayed TRUE to it,never changing, proving he was the Father. I once seen Bill Monroe, a few years before he died, met him,shook his hand, talked to him , sat next to him in a chair,so humble. The same year/ & month seen the Rolling Stones. Bill's show blew the Stones away, in my book,by many reasons.
