@Monseigneur001 no they do actually....kinda. I forget which episode, but it was one of Guren's flashback to where she first saw sasuke. It was when Orochimaru tested Sasuke against 1000 opponents or something like that and he defeated all of them without dealling any fatal blows. He then walks past Guren without even acknowledging her existence....

going back and watching the old Narutos, I'm always so impressed with how far the show has come. the cheesy humor is gone, and it has been replaced with palpable emotion. I mean, sure, Sasuke vs Gaara in the Chuunin exams was really cool, but thumbs up if you actually cried when Hinata was stabbed by Pain. Not even Naruto vs Sasuke was that emotional.

I mean Kisame isn't even a main part but he has a whole three chapters about his life. This series, i my opinion, is getting better once the battle of Pein started.

This song has such a deeper meaning in itself. It's so magical. Just imagine at the very beginning, you here the grass whistle. This resembles Yuukimaru looking for his mother. Then a Violin comes in resembling the mother. She replies, but Yuukimaru can't find her. They search for one another, yet always remain so far from each other. The 2nd violin resembles Guren. Then the very last few is when everything is a memory and they're all looking back at it. Now listen to this song again ^^

This was actually one of the more beautiful arcs of shippuden. The mother child relationship between guren and yukimaru was so well done. They were great characters, and I was sad to see them go.

I actually really loved her. I mean her crystal release is just beautiful and she amazingly strong. Her bond with Yuuikimaru was touching. Guren killed his mother so that she would be accepted by Orochimaru but was betrayed by him. So she decided to take Yuukimaru under her wing. She wanted to be kind like Yuukimaru's mother and became a surrogate to him.

Shippuuden really took Naruto as an Anime up a notch...the emotion became more real and intense, Naruto's pain he bears over losing and trying so hard to bring back Sasuke becomes much more real. Especially in the Ark where they traveled wit hSAi for the first time and he came SO CLOSE to Sasuke yet he was still out of reach...it was so sad watching Naruto suffer emotionally.

The anime has really grown and matured, and I am so glad it has.
