  • same here i fixed mine by takin out the MAGNET at the bottom left its on the right side of the left hindge.... my wireing kept goin near it, causin the flicker, all this becase the damn hindge on the left snapped :(

  • i have the same prob too right now yeah its on the wire left side of it.. in the power button when you open it you see the connector through the lcd maybe its loosen up try to shake it a little bit .. its the wiring ...

  • it's called INVERTER :) , once us down it needs to replace

  • my dv9627cl is doing that.. it seems to be a loose connection, if I give tension on the screen towards me, it stops. I'm hesitant to take the laptop apart, but it is over warrenty, and if I take it to a comp fixit store, they'll call it something expensive when I know it's just some wire that's loose in the henge.... what do u think????

  • @nathanmathy69 i have the same exact one!! i have to keep banging it or hitting it

  • @Rainbowx3Lover42 i had the same problem.download the laptop's manual and see how you open up the panel right under the screen. When you do open it up you will see on your very left a bunch of thin cords i in all kinds of colours that go into the bottom left of the screen. What fixed mine is i tightened them all together and it is now 3 months since i did that and it's fixed.try it.

  • MY FERRARI ONE 200 SERIES ALSO HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM. PLS HELP!!!!!!!!

  • I have the same problem im always smacking my laptp to stop the flickering. -_-

I thought it would be something to do with the wires but itswired because some sites make it ficker more than others. Itsusually video sites. like if i watch your video now its not flickering so bad but when i make the screen big it goes crazy.

Does anyone please have some help???

  • my hp does the same thing!! and my cousin has an hp laptop also, his did the same thing... his problem was a faulty driver. and i wonder if this is a reoccurring problem for hp laptops. im taking myn in to a computer shop soon and ill let you know what was wrong with myn/how much the cost was to fix it

  • i hope the manufacturer resolves this.. i'm scared of having the problem back on the time that the warranty is expired.. i hope the replacement will have no problem..

  • actually ticterra HP is not the only one who ís havin those flickering stuffs..

toshiba does too,i saw a video here before..even Macs is experiencing it, i think HP is not the one who needs to blame but their manufacturer..

i have a compaq CQ40 and it happened to my screen.firstly on the lowest part and the whole screen suddenly started to flicker too..

i got it(lcd) replaced from the svc ctr here @ Philippines for free because it is still covered by the warranty..

  • When I bought my HP Pavillion DV5 it did that once... I thought it was just my impression... months latter... again... then again... one year later... it is now doing every fkng hour... sometimes I need to shake the screen... sometimes a punch... My lesson was: HP NEVER MORE!!! I will stuck with Toshiba from now on.

  • i have the same problem1

  • It actually stopped on its own, but the right hinge ended loosening up, so I tightened the screw. You have to remove all the screws from the back and pull out the speaker cover to get there.

  • cara...o que significa isso?!?!?!

  • significa MAINTENANCE NEEDED, MAYBEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
