  • @MrWastedMango research your Wikipedia again. USA donates more than any other country on the face of the earth. Get your head out of your ass and stop hating

  • well that was a colossal waste of time ...

  • I prefer Tomcat over Hornet anytime!

  • i still like the f 14 tomcat

  • VFA-106 Baby!!!

  • F-18 Hornet usaf fly-by

  • very very very nice videos TOV TODA

  • @f22cool yea tell me more about g force? i take lvl 3 calculus in new zealand which is the highest maths lvl in high school here. id be lying if i said i was doing great, im just trying to keep up.

i think the nz air force selection process is the same as in the US, but the thing i hate is nz doesnt have fighter planes.

  • Regulations say the planes have to be above 1000ft. However, sometimes they do it at 1000ft above sea level, which is not always 1000ft above the current ground.

  • Close... but actually regulations say that over a densely populated area, you must maintain 1000 ft over the closest/tallest structure and a 2000 ft horizontal distance. These pilots can fly as low as they want because the FAA grants special clearance/exceptions for events like this.

  • i wanna be an airforce pilot soo bad! is it hard to become 1? do you have to be like a genius or really smart?

  • you just have to want it really bad. not many make it. not a genius, but smart enough and physically fit. plus 20/20 vision.

  • i want to fly an f 18 more than anything and im joining air cadets in september and i have 20/20, im smart i would say ,i love how a jet works and im in decent shape lmao but i still have a little bit of time ,im taking flying lessons all summer on weekends also.

  • @optimistiik join Civil Air Patrol, its 10x better than air cadets. Its the US Air Force Auxiliary, get flight training cheap as hell

  • You need to be resonably smart go to ur local recrument centre and ask how

  • from what i have heard you need to be pretty smart. A buddy of mine in 6'2 and got a chance to ride in one while in the navy but said he was too tall for when most canopies closed. So he would be arched underneath the canopy. He said 5'9 is the ideal height. He was in 12 years ago, so no idea how it would be now.

Also regarding the 20/20 vision, the military will pay for your eye surgery if your good enough.

  • My balls would be as big as the jet if i had a chance behind the stick!

  • lpll

  • Awesome I love it.

  • No. You just riot as a tradition.

  • Why in usa have jets flyby in sport events? Is it something to do with tradition? In europe in sports events especialy Soccer we dont

  • They fly by right after the last words of our National Anthem...which of course references America's history of freedom through military defense. Military fighter jets flyby to remind everyone that regardless of what every other country on Earth thinks of the United States, we will defend our freedoms...

    USMC

    Semper Fidelis

  • Jiff skippy

  • @IIIXIII313 Its not every nation on earth that hates americans. some say they hate americans because they are told this by the political party running the show. other say it because they have the freedom to say what they want also. Personaly? I think your a pretty good bunch. but your F16 looks a lot like our CF18...

  • @IIIXIII313 military defence? tell me, when has america ever defended itself using its military?

  • @franksyfull Before American was a country, when the British sent troops to try to keep the colonists under their control...

  • @franksyfull the Revolution, War of 1812, Mexican-American War, Civil War, when they fought the Japanese in Alaska. You have absolutely no idea what you're talking about. If you don't like this country and our basis of freedoms, than get the fuck out.

  • Best thing in a soccer game is when its over

  • If you hate soccer, your not a sports fan.

  • what a stupid comment.

  • Those were F-18 Hornets, not F-16's like the announcer said. :P

  • def like the in the air tonight by nonpoint in the background

  • im lovin it'

    the f18 is #2, and the f22 is #1

i like the eagle too it would have to be number 2 on my favorites list

  • i wish they should a video of them flying over the football field

  • lol. thats really hard to fly though. ive seen the training.

  • I ran many laps around that football field and graduated from Tech in 1978. No old jokes please...I'm still flying airplanes!

  • Philippines need F-18s or F-16s badly, we do not have a single fighter jet in our air force. cough cough... We only have those stupid OV-10 Broncos that even those WWII P-51D Mustangs can shoot down!

  • we cant give u any jets because israel is hogging some of the finest in our fleet... and were trillions in debt

    srry ask russia?

  • Argentina need buy this Aircraft F/A 18 the best plane in the history!

  • dude at the 2008 mcas air show they had the new f/a 18 super-hornet it was so SWEET

  • Which MCAS?

  • Miramar

  • Man that gave me chills even though im not a georgia tech fan. If they did that for my team, like putting a hornet in the cockpit, that would be awesome

  • ha, everyones giving shit to fly the hornets...don't blame ya! I'd give a couple of kidneys, some nuts, whatever they askin lol. 9 G's will slap em' back on.

  • XD lol

  • That was an amazing fly over and a really fun game.

  • any one catch the part where they said the f-16?

  • Ha, I noticed it too.

  • hahahahahahah so you would have a fucking vagina lol

  • i think we can figure out a deal

i trade u my f18 for your left nut AND half of a walnut

  • LOL they can't even tell the difference between the F-16 and the F-18? LOLOLOLOLOL

  • Get it right anouncer they'er f-18s not f-16s.

  • Sting 'em!

  • Tht was pretty cool video even though i am A VERY BIG UM FAN. But i am lookin at GT ND UM ND SME COLLEGES IN Virginia

  • i was there for that game and sat at the top of the enzone seats. i wasn't expecting a fly over so it caught me off guard. believe me, they were LOUD. i am a miami fan and even though we lost i gotta hand it to you georgia tech fans. you guys are truely a class act. i wish more fans were like you guys. and i will be sure to be back up there this year. good luck this season, just don't beat us again.

  • Yo I was at that game also and yes those jets where flying super low. I agree GT fans are a class act can't say the same about UF or FSU though.

  • Beautiful aerial view

  • whoa. wait, they can just fly whereever they like?

    phil collins, thought so

  • That is cool..

  • Oh man, I bet when the ppl saw those F-18s, they were like what the hell is going on

  • no...I'm pretty sure that when you're at a football game and the national anthem is played and then a couple jets fly over you know exactly what's going on. I bet you're wrong.

  • haha!!!

  • How much? I mean how much do you wanna bet?

  • SWEET :)

  • I hate that. If you listen to commentators 90% of the time they'll call a jet an F-16 no matter what it is. I guess they are trying to sound smart, lol.

  • SO TRUE!

  • what is the name of the song at the end

  • The same song is played all the way through the video. It is a cover of the Phil Collins song "In the Air Tonight" by the band Nonpoint.

  • Thanks and go Jackets!

  • Yeah I noticed that. You would think that they could at least remember the name of the planes that just flew right over them.

  • how cool is that!

  • i would give my left nut to fly one of those

  • or you could give your up your time and serve in the air force...and keep your nut.hahaha

  • NAHHH!!! Not the Air Force. Im a sea fearing bird and it beats Air Force 10 to 1.

  • go navy!

  • HELL YES!

  • join up for NROTC! Its worth it

  • if i didnt have asthma... i would work as hard as i could to fly

  • whats the name of this song

  • It is a cover of the Phil Collins song "In The Air Tonight" by a band called Nonpoint

  • thanks for the reply

  • american propaganda ;)

  • F-18 not F-16.

  • This is freakin cool!! I love it!

  • I was at that game.I almost had a heart attack when they flew over.Never do it again, please.

  • I will never forget that... go jackets!

  • yeah that was amazing. hopefully there will be more of those this season.

  • Man I was at that game and those guys were right i saw the afterburners and it happened so fast and was EXTREMELY LLLLLLOOOUUD! I didnt know what it was at first! I saw sitting in the section right below the very top. Those jets had to be at less than 1000 feet over ours heads at least! Maybe even 500 feet!

  • by federal law they were at 1000ft (otherwise the Navy would be happy to clip their wings). They likely appeared to be much closer as part of an optical illusion that is common for flyovers

  • I'm interested in knowing how the jet create that illusion. Is it just normal to see it that way or is that on purpose?

  • It isn't the jet itself that creates the illusion, it is the plane (no pun intended) in which our eyes see things. Our brains assume we are in the same plane as what we are seeing, but in reality, we aren't. When you add something moving fast, our brain cannot process as quickly and defaults to "hey it's coming at me" and it feels closer

  • Why would the navy clip their wings? The Blue Angels fly at less than 1000ft at all their air shows and fly-bys. These are military aviators, they work for the federal government. I think their flight plan is authorized in this case.

  • because airshows are not over residential areas, they're over these big open areas called airports. if theres a problem with the plane, or a flight error, theres a better chance of correcting the problem at 1000 ft than 500, which is pretty damn important when your flying over a 100000 people in a stadium, and peoples homes.

  • They could "clip" their wings because they violated FAA rules. The Blue Angels have exceptions for them, but only in limited environments (over runways, over water, etc.)

  • I've seen the Blues fly over a graduation at the Naval Academy in Annapolis. That wasn't over water or a runway. Flyovers at stadiums are meant to honor our military, not for a reason for the Navy to shoot down our Marines. That would just be silly. These pilots are part of the Federal Government, I think the FAA would authorize them to do this.

  • that would be the "etc." part...

  • W/E, The Navy would never fight our own Marines. They are part of the same team.

  • yea, faux pas on the name of the jet, however he recouped the blunder by refering to the boys as Aviators...nice. Can't wait for the 2007 season!

  • he said f/16 when its f/18

  • CF-18's do that all the time up here in Canada without telling anyone

  • Do that in the US and they'll shoot you down for threatening an outdoor event. :-)

  • That was in the US. Georgia tech is US College. And those were American F-18's. You're stupid.

  • nice

  • He said f-16 flyby, but they are f18s lol

  • cool i love it

  • awsome as
