I'm also a lifetime Blackhawk fan also, my favorite was always Bobby Hull. Was the greatest left wing of all time. The best ever all around player I watched was Bobby Orr. Unbelievable, scored goals with ease, great penalty killer, had the puck all night. Great defenseman who scored 100 points a year many times. Too bad a career cut short by bad knees.
I am a Blackhawk fan and I saw Orr play and believe me he was no pansy!.. He could fight and as much as I liked Maggie he couldn't handle Bobby Orr and that is a fact!. Maggie was tough and would fight anybody but he lost a lot of bouts! No Shame though.
hockey sucks now!! 2 fucking refs!!! and the "rules" are too touchy , like basketball! cant even fucking check someone! without a fucking ref blowing his whistle and slowing the game down! refs are affecting the outcome of games more so then ever with their stupid calls!
The most amazing fight is the Ted Green - Dan Maloney fight because "Terrible" Teddy Green had to play with a steel plate in his head because he of his stick fight with Wayne Maki. That takes guts.
I find it soo funny how easy bench clearings happen. I look at the past 15 years of Hockey fights and no doubt. Detroit and Colorado would have been a bench clearing.
Rangers Islanders ... Philly and Ottawa ... and the list goes on
The bruins stick together but I wish that when one of their guys are in a fight, they'd just leave them alone and settle it instesd of back-picking.Let the 2 players settle it,man to man
but then it just adds to a huger like 12 man brawl and those are pretty cool but i see what your saying i think what would fulfill you the best would be like a huge brawl then they split up in to one on one fights
Garnet "Ace Bailey",or the player in this video, perished on 9/11 as he wqs a passenger in the first plane that struck the world trade center. The Ace Bailey you are thinking about was a player from the 30's who played for Toronto.
I met Keith Magnusson at the Jewel Grocery store in Homewood,Illinois in 1969 when I was 6 years old,in the off season he worked for the 7up company and still have the postcard autograph he signed for me that day.2 things that struck me about Keith was how rigged he looked and his firm hand shake.
I WAS AT THIS GAME!! I remember it took well over 1/2 an hour to resume the game - figuring out who got what penalties n such. And all the players trying to figure out whose gloves were whose! LOL

Even with a steel plate in his head, Ted Green could still throw 'em.
