  • Pilipino have live in philippines so many Years So Yes We are 100% pilipino

  • Yes me to i am 100% and i am proud to be pinoy Sup :D

  • so its clear to me my grandfather once mention me when i was a kid that his grandparent are native of china

  • Genetically speaking, Filipinos are a Chinese people. The southern Chinese including other northern Asian nations have been in the Philippines for over a thousand years. Make fun of the Spanish for colonizing us but also realize that most Filipinos are descendants from northern Asia. We have since developed into our own people but our ancestors drove out and genetically swamped out the aboriginal Filipinos. (Negritos, etc..) Aboriginal peoples are less than 1% of the population.

  • @migsluck1 a big NO NO, most of Filipinos are austronesians, same as Malays, Indonesians and Melanesians. There are some mixed with Chinese, Spaniard and Negrito, but for the most part, you are autronesian, who did not migrate through North Asia from Africa. You said "......drove out the aboriginal Filipinos", where? to the ocean floor, cause Philippines is an island no surrounding place has negritos. There is nothing is wrong with being yourself. Stop self hating!

  • @StudentofSunTzu I don't hate myself. I'm 100% Filipino and I'm proud :) I was speaking about how many people over the last thousand years have moved from northern Asia down to the south genetically displacing the aboriginals. Filipinos, by blood group and DNA, have VERY little in common with the aboriginals. The result of the south east Asian aboriginals and northern Asians mixing in created the Austronesian/Malay subgroup which is what the Philippines is.

  • my great great grandpa came from china. thanks for emigrating to the PI gramps!

  • @clcboi just because you have a spanish last name does not mean you have spanish blood... the spaniards gave the natives spanish last names due to converstion to Catholicism even the chinese who converted to the religion change their names to spanish surnames.

  • i need all pilipino pure in philippines!!!f**k mistiso..........

  • @akerov and exactly you hate asians and that was clearly racism because you think Asians are smaller than you talagang nilalait mo talaga sila na parang mga ipis at isa na yun sa katangian ng racism and do you really want to close all relations to asia? think 1st! another crime committed by pinoys means war! because we don't have any relations to them and talks will not work because you wanted to close those relations and the Philippines will just get poorer than you think.

  • @akerov but still, they hate everything just like you and Pinoys can't stand for another fascist government in Nazi style who dislikes free market (they should be liking it but they say it's just american crimes), communism and etc. they only want is there supremacy to the world and their sovereignty among the others and if RP is not Asia, well, Indonesia also because it was clearly near to Oceania and separated to mainland Asia

  • @akerov LOL why should we close all of our relations to Asia? We're Asians asshole, not fucking hispanics.

    Why don't you kill yourself?

  • @ThtOnePinoy you are right bro! we are to far from spain and south america! @akerov !

  • @akerov you are a nazi freak!

  • @akerov i hate you because your racist

  • @akerov philippines are asian ur dumb it's like saying japanese are not asian. basiclaly the same shit.

  • @akerov Why don't you

Cut off anything that makes you live

close all airway to your body

    continue to kill yourself.

  • @akerov Fucking stupidest comment I've ever seen, it would make more sense to cut our ties to the Latin Union than to do that. WE ARE ASIANS, NOT FUCKING HISPANICS.

  • @akerov WOW FUCK YOU ASSHOLE, we had connections with other asians before Spain invaded our country, WE ARE ASIANS AND QUIT SLANDERING MY HERITAGE YOU FUCKING MORON

  • @akerov no actually we're asian by blood, and by culture. You are an uneducated shit, this is why your so stupid you don't even know anything of your people

  • @akerov WELL, THE ASIANS DONT LIKE YOU TOO COZ YOURE A RETARDED FILIPINO! HEHEHE

  • @akerov LOL dude, look up your culture, it's my heritage too, and we were asian and it's proven only 3% of the philippines are actually of spanish descent, you may think your part spanish, when really you just have an affection for hiscrapic culture. You need to learn your roots, ORIENTAL CULTURE AND ORIGINAL CULTURE ARE MORE BETTER THAN THE CRAP THE SPANISH AND THE AMERICANS TRIED TO FORCE UPON US.

  • @akerov FUCK YOU BITCH. FILIPINOS ARE ASIAN, SINCE THEY ARE OF ASIAN DESCENT. THAT SIS THEIR ROOT. YOURE JUST JEALOUS OF THE CHINESE SINCE THEY CAN MAKE IT IN ANY COUNTRY, BUT LOSERS LIKE YOURSELF CAN'T EVEN MAKE IT IN YOUR OWN COUNTRY AND I GUARANTEE YOU, IF THERE WERE NO CHINESE AND A FEW NON-CHINESE FILIPINOS WERE RICH AND SUCCESSFUL, YOUR BITCH ASS WOULD BE JEALOUS AND HATEFUL TO THEM AS WELL. THATS THE FILIPINO ATTITUDE. FUCKING CRAB ASS WANNABE PISSPANIC/LATRINO BITCH.

  • @crimsonkris Thank you, you tell him man, hiscrapic culture is not our own!!! IT WAS SHOVED DOWN OUR THROATS!!! Now that we are free, we can regain the original!!!

  • @ThtOnePinoy You're welcome. Even our great historians Teodoro Agoncillo and Renato Constantino wanted us to form our own culture away from the Spanish and Americans. Now we still have people who are wannabe Pisspanics/Latrinos. Fuck them. We already have so many wannabe Americans and now those Spanish cocksuckers. We should also be learning from our Asian neighbors. What has Pisspanic culture done for Latin America besides making it among the most corrupt in the Western Hemisphere?

  • @crimsonkris Well, at least there is a progress in that, we even restructured friendly connections with the Japanese, despite their horrendous war crimes, exactly, what has Pisspanic culture done? Only catholicism, which imo is very essential, but didn't the portuguese bring that with them as well? To both Nagasaki and the Philippines, they at least know not to fuck up an entire civilization, unlike those tyrant hispanic bastards, I looked up the Luzon empire, and all I can say is Im sad... :(

  • @ThtOnePinoy Ur right, theres so much to our pre-Hispanic culture that is overlooked or not appreciated. But one day people will know the truth.

  • @crimsonkris The funny thing is, despite spain having an advantage since the Philippines was going to be turned into a feudalistic place with all the other kingdom's and sultanates infighting, and despite them having guns, they still had a brutal time taking over the islands, they even banned swords on the lands, why? BECAUSE OF KALI, they couldn't fucking defend themselves from it! xD our martial arts are so kickass

  • @crimsonkris Sad that it's no longer... But the place is still named Luzon at least.

  • @ThtOnePinoy In fact history tells us that there were more independent states in Luzon as well that tried to break away from Spanish control.

  • Thanks for this. Do u know that this is my thesis in Rome? ty

  • i'm a Filipino of Chinese descent.

  • yes the Philippines has asian culture.... ilocanos for example!

FFS shut up... wats wit the hate :/

  • china=crap

  • i'm a Filipino of Chinese descendent's. .-.

  • @akerov "THE PHILIPPINE CULTURE IS NOT ASIAN AT ALL" - Do your geography homework boy.

  • i'm wondering today with augmented last names such as tiangco, yuchengco, and so on... was that a reason for the chinese to assimilate into the norm(because spanish last names have many syllables) or was it because of intermarrying with other chinese(to strengthen bonds)

  • @lucky78913 The reason was so that they could have Filipino or Spanish sounding names. So it was in order to assimilate.

  • Very interesting! Thanks!

  • you know what guys i don't care. I am seeing a chinese girl. She's beautiful wonderful. It doesn't matter. We mixed and will continue to do so. I don't look nothing like chinese. But my dad and sibling kinda do. So yeah, we are all people just trying to live and yes we have chinese ancestry too most of us.

  • @lui920..Prostitution are world wide problems and not only for filipina's you dumb fuck ! It's been going on for thousands of years. I've fucked 10s of chinese whore my self and believe me, they loved some Filipino dicks. I got me some tight chinks in europe,in north america and yes even in middle east,FISH BRAIN.

  • @lui920..Look here pencil dick chinks,You talk like chinese are fucking too important that they don't do wrong.Your fucking country is ruled by communist and everything shity is hidden behind the curtain by the gov't controlled media. I once lived in San Francisco and believe me i've seen and fucked a chinese wetbacks gooks. You should see them pathetic roaches begging for dollars. And yes they were a chinese whore.

  • to all ..even japsnese are not descendant for some of filipinos coz simple as that.. they die for short period of time coz american kick their ass out in philippines..

  • to all dont get fooled by these nuissance...chinese are just recently and not colonization the real ancestors of philippines are filipinos natives and spanish. youare filipino descent with chinese if you had a chinese name youare filipino if youare filipino l;astname you..and this uploader are japsnese chinese born raise in america coz thre are not famous so they create this

  • @akerov shut the fuck up. id be saying the same to the filipinos who are invading dubai bringing those slut whores there and than they start marrying arab men. old ugly filipino women are whores. mail order bride much?

  • Comment removed

  • @55mautak hahahahah nice one bro me also

  • /watch?v=gZ-gw4AWpW4

    WATCH NOW

  • i love how these chinks bring in cheap drugs from china, lol

  • Good thing the Spanish and the American came here and share us their culture. I fucking hate Asian Culture.

  • CHINESE ARE ONLY GOOD FOR FAKING EVERY THING. FROM TOYS TO GUCCI BAGS,CLOTHING TO MELANINE. THEY CAN'T EVEN INVENT SOMETHING ON THEIR OWN !! NOT EVEN CAPABLE OF INVADING A COUNTRY EXCEPT THE POOR TIBET....--C H I N E S E--A R E--T H E--J E W S--O F-- A S I A--!!! • @55mautak Good, why don't you tell your government to sever diplomatic relationship with China right now!

  • STOP BREEDING MY FILIPINO PEOPLE WITH A "MONGOLOID" BLOODS (chinese). THE OFW'S IN HONG KONG ALWAYS GETTING MISTREATED BY THE CHINESE AND THE CHINESE GOV'T. DON'T DO A FUCKING THINGS ABOUT IT. WHEN THE INCIDENT HAPPENS (hostage), THEY ALL ACTED LIKE A FREAKING BIG TIME SHIT......C H I N K S

  • PEOPLE, I'M FILIPINO WITH SPANISH. CHINESE AND JAPANESE IN MY BLOOD, CAN WE JUST ALL FUCKING GET ALONG? Jesus Christ.

  • @SuperAsianTwinkie I feel this way all the time.

  • @SuperAsianTwinkie dont make me laugh. not many filipinos are spanish now unless someone married a spaniard. just because you have a spanish lastname doesnt mean you are spanish. filipinos were forced to pick out a spanish last name from a list. like 3% or even less of the philippines is spanish

  • @lui920 LETS GET SOMETHING STRAIGHT ASSHOLE, 1.) My grandfather has strong Spanish blood, he doesnt even look filipino to begin with, and his eyes are even blue-ish grey, then comes my grandma (both from my dad side) who is also mix a bit of chinese and japanese. Then there is also my mother side who are strongly chinese, YES THEY EVEN SPEAK CHINESE.

And I'm fully aware not all Filipinos are mix, BUT I'M ONE OF THE LUCKY ONES :)

Don't judge me dick face. You don't know me worth shit.

  • i love this(:awesome job.

  • @BlasianBoyXD Thanks very much. Glad you enjoyed it.

  • i'm filipino-spanish:)

  • @chichakawaii are you sure?

  • @chichakawaii dont make me laugh. not many filipinos are spanish now unless someone married a spaniard. just because you have a spanish lastname doesnt mean you are spanish. filipinos were forced to pick out a spanish last name from a list. like 3% or even less of the philippines is spanish

  • @lui920 to all dumb.. stop using filipino no mater what filipinos are best and filipino/spanish forever that videosis misleading when this make yesterday all filipino mean real filipinos know the thruth im not chinese descent coz simply i dont have chinese lastnames period who give a fuc to fuc chinese anyways there are so fucing ugly evryone knows that..

  • @MegaVivian11 even in chinese now they still have this uglinest passing to evryone..they ended up goin surgery to open their or fix it beatify it...so helplessjust wear sunglassese

  • actually the Philippines does have a very Asian background and history. It is only because the Spaniards destroyed some of the cultures and influenced their own that our culture may seem patterned after latin and spanish. TRUE Filipino culture was influenced by Malay, Arab, Indian, Chinese and possibly Japanese cultures because the Philippines used to be one of the centers of trade and commerce in Southeast Asia.

  • @bahaykubo9 Oh, well. Negritos or Aetas are the original owners of the Philippines if you look thoroughly into history. Actually, the Spaniards did not destroy the culture of the Philippines, they enriched it. So did the Chinese, the Japanese, the Arabs, etc. And if you look at the cultural situation of the world today, it's mixed and globalized. If you can't accept that fact, better live in the isolated mountains of the Philippines and make your own culture there.

  • @mikhailthegrinch I never said that I cant accept it. what happened happened. I was just trying to point out that the Philippines is Asian too.

  • @bahaykubo9 filipino culture was not influenced by malays and etc.......we are from the malaysian/indonesian race and the rest is a little bit arab chinese and whatever.....

  • say whatever you want. your country is F*#* up! its simple as that. no matter what ethnic background your ancestor have the equivalent of the status of your nation is deteriorating. Stop bitching about your race and just pray to god that one day your nation will have better chance of living and at peace...oh yeah!!!

  • the chinese jews run asia. chinese love silver bars and trade and business, and opium trade. lol

  • he was a real macho man.

  • Why are people getting pissed about this, Philippines has many influences don't deny or hate on any spanish or chinese influence its in our culture accept it and deal with it. Shit if anything I think its interesting to have this mixed influence, shows how unique we are, be proud of it

  • @bboyunagi Yeah, but the thing is... Spain fucked up our culture! Catholicism was just a front, a tool for their invasion scheme, sure the actual catholicism is true, and I take part and follow it, the religion is epic in its own right and nothing else more true, however if you look back in our heritage, you will see it was being used for sinful, corrupt reasons. If the spanish never decided to come, we could've learned catholicism from the portuguese instead.

  • @bboyunagi Did you also know Catholicism was growing in Japan by the portuguese at a massive rate? The only major reasons the Tokugawa started executing christians and banned anything related to christianity is because of fear of being a front for invasion, they saw what the spanish did to the philipines, they did not want portuguese touching their lands(if they even had any plans at all, imo I dont think they did honestly...), but back then, they endorsed the religion.

  • @bboyunagi Great comment!

The U.S. has many influences as well. We were built on immigration from many European countries originally, and today we have a huge Hispanic, Asian, and African influence as well.

    Diversity leads to greatness!

  • The Chinese are experiencing exactly what the Jews went through in medieval Europe lol

  • correction: southeast asian eyes are more slanted than any other race other than east asians

  • Philippines population dna

    20-25% chinese ancestry

    2-3% white(spanish included)

    1% other

    70% southeast asian

  • @yanina143

20-25% Chinese is a faulty claim.

Only about 1.5% have chinese blood.

  • @jellyjigglerman

Not a claim, they did dna tests to find out the the haplogroups of thousands of filipinos in the Philippines.

Maybe you've only been in southern california where some filipinos try to not look like your stereotypical asian. But I've lived in the Philippines for many years and yea, a large population look oriental in northern Philippines coz it's farther from the equator. Going south it gets hotter hence more darker skinned. Same with other southeast asians

    watch?v=0HcV177LXQM

  • @yanina143 you kidding? for 300 years the spaniards only got 1% blood ancestry in our population? that's a stupid claim, i think the chinks were more stupid and useless to the dilao (japanese) who stood for their rights and held an uprising against the unjust spanish rule before the Philippine revolution to those useless chinks in our country. i would rather believe that the spaniards have at least 20% blood ancestry in our population. there are even a lot of white skinned filipino/filipinas

  • @pcekeep theres also a lot of natural...white skinned chinese...and asians in general...

  • @pcekeep lol another proud to be "pinoy" dumbfck stfu . Chinese owned phil. and you know it.

  • @coolcager Chinese owned us? yeah right!

  • @pcekeep yup they owned you. except you guys owned innocent and poor hong kong tourist . stfu murderers.improve your swat and government before you talk shit.

  • @coolcager owned us? the chinese government can't even dictate what our government should do to ourselves but the americans can do. stop being envious to america you lousy jealous chink.

  • @pcekeep uhmmm why is america in here? oh off topic why? lol can't defend your poor piece of shit country no more? lol admit it your country sucks . oh btw Chinese can dictate your country . Who control your economy again? oh it's the chinese oh wait who owns your malls and big business oh wait chinese again. who hire pinoy's again? oh wait chinese again. who donated all your shit ? chinese lol. Chinese owned pinoys since 1400 lol. Philippines sucks and you know it.

  • @coolcager who cares if most pinoys suck. i don't suck as much as they are. don't compare me to those wanabe patriots who scream their filipino pride/ego to the top of their lungs just to satisfy their insecurity. i only think of this place as my house for if i lost this i have nowhere to go. we can't defend our country correct, we suck, correct. but the chinese owned us? i disagree... i haven't heard of news beijing pressuring our country which is taken seriously by our government .

  • @coolcager if i hear that i can say that you chinese are indeed our masters but no. pressure from washington (USA) is taken seriously by our government instead. if we filipinos indeed see you chinese as our masters, then the spratlys will be no longer ours. but due to uncle sam's orders we still persistently have that in order to compete with you communist chinese. the times may have change but uncle sam sees you chinese as communists. nothing more, their rivals and their enemies.

  • @coolcager Singapore and Malaysia is different from us fool!

  • @yanina143 which comprises at least 3 to 4 out of 10 filipino guys out there

  • @yanina143

the chinese have been living in the philippine for over 1000years, so I would except them to have higher interracial children than the other ethnic groups.

  • by just reading the comments, i've learned a lot already ! lol :) i love this video !!

  • I don't know of hardly any Filipinos mistaken for Spanish. The only possibility that this would happen is if someone looked at a Filipino surname such as Garcia or Rivera and assumed that the person with that surname was Hispanic. But once you look at someone you would easily tell that person is Asian, not Filipino. Definitely there are more Filipinos with Chinese blood than Spanish. Let's face, China is not far from the Philippines so it stands to reason.

  • now that's better story-telling

  • My grandma's grandfather was a Chinese pirate :D

  • chinese have been on earth since the age of the dinosaurs...yes, technically, they control the economy.. but try to work for a chinese company... salary is below minimum, no benifits,.. cheats.. that's how hey become rich....

to boyiehoney... i believe that there are more pinoys with hispanic blood, than chinese.. 3% is the rich families from spanish decent..

  • do you know how spanish look like? they're caucasian.

Yes only 2-3% has ANY spanish blood. There are so many more people that are light and or with slanted eyes. When I went to school there out of 1000 students i probably only saw 2 that looked half spanish. i'm only giving facts.

are you proud that spain brought slavery, crab mentality, and corruption? Our asian culture will always reign supreme.

  • Ulol. And please show us the Census back in the colonial times that shows there were more Spanish than Chinese therefore making Filipinos have more Hispanic blood. It is the other way around, since historians have shown the Chinese to be the largest minority in the Philippines. They had to marry esp. after conversion to catholicism esp. with local women. 1 in 10 Filipinos have Chinese blood. And Filipino owners can't be cheats and abusive to other Filipino workers? Your dreaming.

  • fcking dumbfck do your research . without the chinese in the Philippines the country will sink .

  • i don't think they're hard to define. for thousands of years until now they have always been classified as oriental asian. true filipinos are mixed of malaysian and/or chinese blood, not negritos. negritos are only a few thousand in the philippines, they didn't combine blood with the orientals, like how white americans aren't native americans by blood. and what are indonesians? they're asian too. only 333 years of spanish rule when theres been thousands of years of chinese inhabitants.

  • @boyiehoney

I don't really see how Southeast asians look oriental, they look more closer to Indians/Egyptians to me.

They have sunken eyes, bigger nose, and Culture and mannerisms are vastly different. The facial features are very different

  • @jellyjigglerman

Also omg, do you know how indians and egyptians look like? Their distant ancestors are white people you know according to dna, haplogroups and their skull structures.

Do you know thai and vietnames culture, many of their culture dances, food, mannerisms are just like filipinos.

    watch?v=D5gsiBqkaoE

Did you also know that the whole latin american population has almost 50% caucasian blood?

  • I'm not talking about ancestry....

I'm talking about features, physical features.

Also, native filipinos in Luzon and other islands have very different cultures and beliefs than Far easterns.

My GF, shes a filipino and she doesnt get called Chinese/typical asian like others. They even ask her if she's asian frequently.

I think she said she's from Manila.

  • Yea, southeast asians look different from east asians of course, but there are many similarities as well.

My cambodian friend says his people look exactly like filipinos and he hates it when people in the US don't think they're asian neither. But he says everyone in cambodia knows they're just asian.

It's just that the american media has a stereotypical asian look with slanted eyes and olive skin.

Actually, I can easily tell the difference between a chinese, korean and japanese person. peace

  • many filipinos have slanted eyes but not as slanted compared to east asians, but generally, peoples eyes are more slanted than any other race other than east asians.

the filipino writing system, baybayan or alibata has influence from other southeast asian systems like from thai.

koreans generally have the most slanted eyes, than chinese, and many japanese have bigger almond shaped eyes.

the only reason why southeast asians are darker is coz it's closer to the equator, but we have similar dna

  • @yanina143 baybayin is from the indonesian kawi script

  • @jellyjigglerman

are you blind? no, south east asian look south east asian, maybe a very few with mix ancestry would look indian or egytians(where did you get this from?). But plain and simple south east asian look south east asian...they are asian looking but with their own distinctive look. Do you even know what a indian or egyptian look like?

  • my mom looks japanese(lighter complexion) and my dad looks malaysian

(tanner complexion) but both are 100% asian. no spanish blood whatsoever. only 3% of philippines population has any spanish blood. 20-25% chinese blood.

  • well i have, i've lived there for many years. the northern part of the philippines has many yellow filipinos while going towards the southern philippines with hotter climates, they get tanner hence brown filipinos. today there are more filipinos with chinese and korean ancestry than hispanic.

  • The Census in the 1800's and early 1900's Philippines clearly shows the Chinese to be more than the Spanish. The Spanish relaxed restrictions on the Chinese and most Chinese married local women. The Spanish only married with a few natives. And the Spanish also restricted Chinese immigration to the Philippines, since they saw the Chinese as a threat to the Spanish wealth. Read history instead of using guess work, dumbass.

  • Chinese Filipinos are the only people that can truly feel attached to their homeland at least in comparison with people from Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore. That is why less Chinese Filipinos attempt to become big with Chinese. Not only that, but with the current last names that Chinese Filipinos have today such as Dizon, Suzon, Samson, etc. most Chinese wouldn't even know that they are of the same kind.

  • I don't care if our history has a link in china because All I know is that Philippines is Philippines in the past and in present day today so what if we have mixed blood with other countries what ever you may call it still FILIPINOS ARE FILIPINOS NOTHING MORE NOTHING LESS.

  • Luzon GAo is the only one that was under the Chinese influence why would the whole philippines learn the cnise language ..sulu emprie rivals the majesty of Chinese during that time and china never even tried to go against the Sulu empire...now before spanish there is also a strong Indianized civilization flourishing that has ties with Champa in vietnam that is Sugbo...and eventually that what the spanish came in contact with first not the islamic sulu or Chinese Luzon Gao (pampanga is the seat)

  • hmm interesting

but in general due to common sense we can sense why good looking people or superior ppl (high iq) generally dont feel insecurity compared to animal behaviours of some caucasians. but then again superior ppl already know we are best :)

  • sad. do you really think that looking good makes you superior?

  • chinese didnt conquer your country b4spain, they are very near the country. they are better tahn spain bcuz they didnt force their belief on the people, they just live and let live like the bangsamoro, now when spain comes..thats when trouble started. most chinese wealth are due to hardwork unlike spain in country-corruption, taxes, land grab-until natives wont want to work anymore bcuz they will be tax accdg to wealth-chinese hav option they go back to china or send their earnings to relatives.

  • thats very true. chinese although many people see them like savages they are actually more civilized than you and I because their values hold still from birth to death.

  • The Chinese in the Philippines are like the Jews in the West: wealthy, influential, and much despised.

  • chinese and filipinos are brothers? no way...

  • Yes way. Truth hurts doesn't it? Filipinos came from southern China thousands of years ago and settled in the Philippines. Bobo!

  • Yes, China is our mother, neighbor, our nurturer (we import food and clothes from there) and, because the USA want it that way,our rival.

  • why should we learn any chinese if we don't even know ourselves? truthfully, many people migrate to america, canada europe and other places just to have a better type of life. to do anything to escape poverty. some like my own parents sent money every month but the filipinos themselves never did anything witht the money other than to spend it.

  • Haha! Yeah, as I said. Just my opinion. I learned Spanish and Chinese in order to shed some light into the dark, which is our history. I wanted to follow the few links that were left from before slavery.

Chinese is definetily not the answer for all of the Philippine nations. Sulu or Mindanao are already doing fine, by speaking Bahasa und Arabic.

But for a nation like Luzon, with a strong bond to China, and in middle ages, a part of China, this is a complete different topic.

  • its good that china kept records of the phillipines

  • There are tons of documents in mainland China talking about our ancestors, 吕宋国人. Most of them haven't been analyzed yet. A lot of places on Luzon either still have or used to have chinese names, like Luzon, Tondo, Li Han (nowadays Malolos).

We know of our rulers that they swore loyalty to the Chinese Empreror. Later on people like Rizal and Aguinaldo, seeked refuge in China Our presidents, e.g. Erap, whom I definitely don't like, or Arroyo also show our bond to this land.

  • good analogy but there are chinese all over the world. linking the phillipines to china is sort of a lost cause because anyone in the world is familiar with chinese culture. just examine how many china towns there are. yea for one third of the world population i would expect that. the phillipino should instead embrace its own culture and not look to others for their foundation.

  • Not with my family. I can trace my ancestors back to 3rd Generation from Malayasia. And all the chinese/spanish blood connection are only from my mothers side. But nevermind.

The chinese-philippinos thing would more likely apply to north and central Philippines, Luzon and Visayas. And dont forget the japanese settlers who migrated in the 12th century on Luzon. Mindanao is a different story. Mindanao has as much chinese influence as africa is influence by philippines. In other words. Good as none

  • Good for you that it's not in your family. Good for you buddy boy. And since you mentioned in your mom s side has Chinese, but then denying it, it's like pissing on your ancestors grave. And no doubt Mindanao has less Chinese influence since not many Chinese did venture to live there except in Davao and Zamboanga City only. I don't care what you think of yourself, you don't represent the whole Philippines anyway. And all that you said is something i already studied, thanks for nothing.

  • @crimsonkris

Then welcome to youtube buddy. But if you dont care what I think then why so offended? Why reply in the first place? Im only saying my opinion and dont tell me I cant. And if you dont like it, leave it. Anyways you`re right I dont represent the Philippines but nor do you and your opinions. Have a nice day

  • Offended? Who said anything about being offended? Yeah, same to you buddy pal, welcome to Youtube, if there is something that you said that is contradictory and if you assume people don't know, then expect to be corrected or confronted. I'm not stupid or dumb and neither are others who know how to think. Your opinions are only that, just opinions not the truth, leave it at that. Have a nice life.

  • @crimsonkris

I wonder why they migrated out of China? because the chinese probably drove them out!! just like Taiwan and singapore and even the native americans had to migrate else where to new lands.

  • @flipo25rid Too many people, not enough food. Just that simple. Happened all the time.

  • @flipo25rid I suggest you go read a history book before you open your mouth. The Chinese came to the Philippines as economic migrants, like most Chinese who migrated to SE Asia in the past. Go and reasd the book Sojourners and Settlers by Anthony Reid. There were a few instances where they were driven out by the other Chinese factions, but those groups went to places like Thailand and Taiwan. And what about us Filipinos? If we're so good why cant we make our own jobs instead of being OFWS?

  • To all 華菲.

A friend from Beijing recently asked me: "How come that in mainland China, chinese speaking singers and bands from Singapore, Malaysia and Taiwan are so famous, but there are none from the Philippines?" I'd like to pass this people on to others (who can actually sing better than me). Why don't we have any internationally successful chinese singers from the Philippines?

  • Because Taiwan, Singapore are basically chinese speaking, Philppines isn't they speak Tagalog and english. Now malaysia should be speaking bahasa which is similar to Tagalog but there must be more chinese speaking people there.

  • We should all learn more chinese. I mean, we speak english, yes, but our neighbors speak different lingos. And as a Luzonian (吕宋国人) I kind of feel an obligation to learn chinese, at leat the basics. I don't know about you guys. Just my opinion.

  • if you don't speak chinese they will not like you its plain and simple anywhere you go. Would you root for Yao Ming as loud as you would for the PAcman. probably not.

  • That's so sad. I want more understanding between the Philippines and China. Especially between 吕宋 and China.

  • Because the are indi rockers, reggae artist and hip hop / RnB stars and not some mall singing sale outs

  • this basically summarizes the chinese in the philippines but remember most of the chinese in the philippines came during the chinese civil war, escaping the communists. just like my grandpa.

  • Chinese, Japanese, and now Korean invasion!

  • No one is invading anything here. All the Filipino Dialects and languages (austronesian language family) originate from China. The tribes of the north of the Philippines have the same customs as minorities in the south of mainland China. Chinese are not enemies to the Filipinos, but brothers and sisters.
