Halo has also been going since 1999, and will continue to at least 2013-14. And the missions in Cod and Halo don't freeze up and you can't complete it.

Bullets take time to travel and drop over distance, sound takes times to travel, the risk of losing your limbs is always a factor, combat takes place largely outdoors and at ranges of 300 meters at least, etc. Look up the "Fackler Scale of FPS Realism" for stuff I can't include with a character limit.

Barret .50 cal is not ment for extreme long ranges, for an example cheytac m2000 intervention is. And for the douche here (mw3legitsniper)? sound suppressors are not nearly as effective as in games and movies. and also with suppressors they use sub sonic rounds which travel slower to prevent a sonic boom.

The M107 is a anti matterial rifle that was designed to destroy light armor transport, ICBMs, and other fairly light armor targets (Not meant for anti person). You can use a 7.62 (5.56 in somecases) to down a target from certain ranges, you do not need a 12.5mm just because it is long range (Wind, gravity, temperature, and even humidity will affect any round). One final statement before I go: It's called a suppressor not a fucking 'silencer', because it only suppresses the sound generated!

Silencers are a series of tubes designed to suppress sound of a gunshot, although gunshots from a silencer are still very hearable, they also server to reduce recoil, by having extra weight on the front of the gun, this makes silenced weapons more accurate. I have no idea how they didn't put that in COD.
