I got hurt when I told a civilian to get out of the way, as my attention was directed at this civilian the arrestee I was trying to subdue jerked and caused damage to my right hand. I now live with just 65 to 75% use of my right hand. I had to endure a 3 hour surgery to repair a tear in the tendons in the back of my hand as well as to "shave" the fibers of the tendon that were shredded. The police issued unlawful orders to her and arrested her without probable cause that she was committing a crime. She was not close enough to the police to be interfering with their work. They violated her 1st and 4th amendments, and the bogus charges against her were dropped.

Great job Emily. You have brought national attention to something that allot of people need to be aware of. I really liked the show on Coast to Coast AM lastnite. Most people had no idea that in Massachusetts, Illinois and Delaware it IS illegal to video tape the police! Those laws are a direct violation of the constitution and should never have been passed. The police are public servants and if they are doing there job the way they should be, there is no reason they wound not want to be taped.
