  • I am so proud I chose Obama when he was still running for the position. Look what he is now

  • There are still people out there that think this is "Government Health Ins." and don't know that it is really "Private FOR PROFFIT Health Ins." and it will be government enforced. The corporations are taking over the peoples government and that is Fascism.

  • Baraks Health Care Bill.... Can it improve american citizens. . . ? American view's are important! Come to my utube channel and read more!

  • Oh Yeah!!! Thank you thank you thank you....we are now 100% further along than we were 2 weeks ago. So proud of President Obama and all the Dems who helped him. Glad I voted for him! Now on to November - GOTV

  • @DrDaveHardy

That's the most hilarious and disturbing comment I've read in a long while.

  • I don't care what it takes. I want free health care now. If the Democratic in congress don't pass health care, the president just needs to dissolve the congress and the supreme court for that matter.

  • @DrDaveHardy You do realize what you are proposing is basically that Obama create an American Dictatorship?

The really sad part is, the world WOULD stand for it.

  • @DrDaveHardy

How about a free car and a free house? How about free food? How about a free hovercraft?

  • High taxes for 4 years with this garbage health bill before people with pre existing conditions can get coverage what a scam!

  • The goverment take over of the car industry, banks, and now the healthcare. Sounds like a power grab before the economy implodes.

  • "I believe we need to get the unemployed American people back to work so they can properly care for their families. I believe we need to stop sending American jobs to foreign nations. I believe we need to stop sending hundreds of billions of American dollars into foreign nations in the form of aid; we need to take care of our own people.

I believe we need a balanced budget. I believe we need a plan to reduce the national debt before this country goes bankrupt." less

  • OPT OUT of anything blomacare..

    Nobody wants it...

Remember the state of the blom speech he gave his DEMS when he asked them ""Don't Head for the Hills""...and they ran out and did just that..ran for the hills and continue to do so....They know it sucks...& they want no part of it.,..Neither does hillary who stuck it to the man by making him get stigmatized with it to ensure no competition in 3 years for pres election...Oh yeah man, you be doin a great job wid da helf caya man.says hillary...

  • @hadenufnow Agreed, Hillary has played it well, and if it must be a democrat in 2012 I would much rather have Hillary than Obama or any othe likely contender. Why? Cause even if her domestic policy was garbage, at least she wouldn't destroy America on the foregin stage the way Obama is.

  • Really I don't care either way about healthcare, it will be crooked either way if its ran by the crooked insurance companies or the government. The real issue is JOBS. If we don't get out of this producing nothing economy mindset, and just building government bigger and being the worlds police force. We are going to see the middleclass die, and be a true 2 class nation..Want reelected Mr. President ? JOBS..Start with getting out of some of these trade agreements..

  • @Uwiluz60 you wont need jobs once the government control healthcare. everything you need will be provided for you. you will have your food stamps and you will have free health coverage. no need for a job. what more could you need?

  • AgeisLiberatisLuces...Do you think they will provide me with a fishing vacation a few times a year too ? And help me with my house payment maybe ? If so, I am ready to become an Obamabot ! But if to many of us get in the cart there won't be enough pullers...So could you pull for awhile and when you get weak I'll jump out and help...I promise..An Obama promise !

  • folks let me put it in a simple form so many of you simpletons(those who voted for and support obama and the demecrats) the health care bill will not give you healthcare it requires you to purchase health insurance from a goverment approved company.if you decline they will put you in jail.if you have better insurance than what the goverment will offer they will indeed tax all this is a forum to lead this country deeper into socialism.hopefully obama will be impeached and tried for treason

  • Now Now Now!!!! This SUNDAY! SUNDAY! SUNDAY! We must pass healthcare takeover...i mean reform! What a douche bag progressive simple imp. Looser! Obama no one likes you...........you were always picked last in dodgeball weren't you?!!!!!!!!!!! hahahaha. This guy is even better than gwb. America's president picker is really broken. bush then obama!? Give me a fucking break!

  • Folks. (those of you who still support this bill in its current state).

This is NOT what you think it is.

This so called healthcare bill is a MANDATE to PURCHASE healthcare insurance.

This is NOT government provided healthcare nor is it government provided healthcare insurance.

You WILL purchase HC insurance from a company that is approved by the gov.

If you have HCI that is TOO good you will pay a 40% TAX on it!

See it for what it is, not for what you THINK it is.

  • And what is so wrong about requiring that people have health insurance? We KNOW vthat the majority of American Favor this and that only a handful of assholes like you don't and that's because you are either undereducated, an uninformed Teabagger or both. You know NOTHING about the healthcare bill other than what you've been spoonfed from those morons at FUCKS News. I'm not saying that I know everything, but you know NOTHING. Ur just a punk ass bitch.

  • I would post the link here, but every time I try, youtube or this video specifically won't allow me to.

  • @mega Time to end this argument once and for all and make your left wing vitriol look even more ridiculous than it already does. EVEN OBAMA admits that there are items in the bill that would prevent you and I from keeping our current coverage and/or choosing the doctors we choose, (msg me if u want a link proving this) something he and you sheep kept saying we would be able to do. But no, that isn't gov. takeover...

Run along, we're done here. Posting 1000 times isn't going to change that.

  • Comment removed

  • I'm for reform. It may not be perfect as it stands now but neither was social security when it was enacted. we changed it to make it better. We will do the same with health care.

  • President Obama does NOT accept second place for the USA!

  • I am for health care reform. I believe all Americans should have health care insurance. All the people who are against health care reform are those Americans who already have health care and who don't give a lick about anyone else. Many of the college students I know don't even have health care anymore.

  • I don't have health insurance and I'm not for this health care bill. How are we even going to pay for it in these terrible times where 10%+ of American citizens are out of work, we're facing record deficits and there seems to be no end in sight?

  • @JTNugget

Well then you're an odd bird. It's not all gloom and doom. Typical of life, we have our ups and our downs. That's life for you. We're down because of the previous government. Fixing what's wrong with our health care system is a necessary issue we must face.

  • I agree people need health care, but this government takeover of health care is a terrible idea. If bodies like the Mayo clinic think it's a bad bill then you know something is wrong with it.

I'd like to know how can we afford giving millions of people free health care without grossly raising taxes or falling into even more debt? China already owns a big part of our treasury and I don't like the prospect of them having control over us when my kid is old enough to be on her own.

  • "Gov.t takeover of health care."

The most successful of the propaganda lines used by the GOP in their quest to kill h.c. reform their own political purposes.

JTNugget, predictable JTNugget just swallows the line like a baby sucking a bottle, without knowing what is actually in the h.c. bills..

Under either bill private doctors and hospitals would still be private & private insur. would still dominate the h. insur. market.

How the hell is that "government takeover of the h.c. industry"???

  • Typical liberal strategy, when you don't have a rebuttal of your own you resort to personally attacking the opponent. The best part is you don't know the least bit about me. I'm not going to sink to your level, I'll just let you continue to make yourself look childish.

  • What I DO know about you:

    a) You just repeat the GOP & Fox News propaganda without having read either bill and obviously not knowing what is actually in them.

    b) your comments typically contain nothing except the "government takeover" propaganda line and slurs, insults & attacks on anyone who disagrees with you or presents any facts that don't agree with your preconceived opinions that were given to you courtesy of the GOP & Fox News & reinforced by the rantings of others just like you.

  • As for gov't regulations ending insurance company abuses that is no more a takeover of the h.c. industry than is food safety regulations a takeover of the food industry.

  • As for affording it, under the House bill a large part of the funding would come from eliminating waste & inefficiency, like eliminating the unnecessary taxpayer subsidies to insurance companies for Medicare Advantage, and a surtax on those making more than half a million dollars per year. They would not even have to give up even one Porshe or mansion.

  • You're full of it. Eliminating waste & inefficiency? Ha! You are so naive it's not even funny.

When you have a super majority in congress and you can't get a bill to pass it shows that this bill has major problems with it. You can blame "GOP propaganda" all you want, but that will only affect the public. Which by the way, hates your bill.

  • Of all the points I made you are only able to respond on one point, the "elimination of waste and inefficiency" and of course your response, like all your arguments, is nothing more than a repeat of GOP claims & assertions.

    So lets analyze it:

    a) the large amount of waste savings from elimination of taxpayer subsidies to insur. co's for Medicare Advantage is a "given". b) the bill directs mechanisms to look for and eliminate waste & inefficiency & will have far better results than no bill

    ..

  • ...cont'd re; elimination of waste & inefficiency

    c) the biggest danger to Medicare services is do nothing in the face of the unsustainable rising costs,

    d) the bill includes more money for the Medicare stabilization fund which extends the life of Medicare an est. 5 yr.s',

    e) and for comparison the GOP "plan" included a "level" on Medicare reimbursements which, in the face of rising h.c. costs, WAS effectively a "rationing" or "cap" of Medicare benefits.

  • So throw the sick & Injured under the bus to save a few dollars out of your own selfish pocket?

Your attitude is a disgrace to any nation that wants to call itself a "great nation".

  • When did "Health Care Reform" become "Health Insurance Reform". The only reform that the health insurance industry needs is to be put out of business and replaced with a single payer system that covers everyone.

  • Hear, hear!

  • Yeah because government takeovers always end up doing well! Wow man, you place entirely way too much trust into our corrupt government.

  • JTNugget looks at a gov.t program like Medicare and says "look look look, it's going broke s- that just proves gov't can't run anything well."

He's not even bright enough to appreciate the difference between "efficiency" and "funding".

Medicare is efficient, with overhead rates of about 3% compared to about 30% for private insur. co.'s.

It's not Medicare's fault that gov't gives unfunded tax cuts to the rich, starts 2 wars, continues pork projects etc, but doesn't plan for Medicare funding.

  • ummm. once again for the slow of wit.

It's NOT a "government takeover". That's just the propaganda line used by the GOP and repeated ad nausem by Fox News.

Under either bill private doc.s & hosp.s would still be private & private insur. would still dominate the market.

Gov't reg.s prohibiting insur. co. abuses is no more a "gov't takeover of h.c." than gov.t drug safety regulations are a "takeover of the pharmaceutical industry".

  • JtNugget must think he's really bright by over and over and over calling the h.c. reforms a "government takeover of health care".

Where did he get that line?

It didn't come from his reading of the h.c. bills - because he's not bright enough to read them.

If he thought back to the very first time he heard that line it's just possible (hell, it's a certainty) that he heard it from the GOP politicians that have since day one been trying to kill h.c. reform for their own political purposes.

  • I would like to thank all the Patriots whose persistent efforts have defeated Lenin's crown jewel of socialism, State Run Medicine. Without your good works America's first Communist Muslim President might have succeeded in making our health a slave to his twisted whims. While this well placed enemy of the American people has succeeded in looting the wealth of generations it gives me real hope to see that America has awoken from his spell and those of his willing idiots.

  • You have done an excellent job on this video. At 4:35, he say's "Happy New Year" That is PERFECT!!

Where are the jobs...the Dem far left wing enabled this puppet into office, supported by the corrupt lazy corporate controlled MSM. Hillary Clinton start getting ready, Let the asshoeles try to stop you now, WE GOT YOUR BACK! Clinton, 2012!

  • I need a smaller chest, mine keeps on bumping into my steering wheel its annoying lol

  • The last 2 years of Bush administration the congress was controlled by the Dems to the present. That is a fact.

And thats when this economy started tanking, in 07.

    Weird Huh?

  • This video should be submitted to FailBlog!

  • This video......his "Transparency" video........his "Bring the Troops Home" (not send more to Afghanistan) video....his "No Lobbyists" video.....his "Change" video....his "I Won't Raise Taxes on Anyone Making Less Than $250k" video....his "More Perfect Union" video.....his "Spread the Wealth" video.....his "Tax Cuts for 95% of the Population" video.....Fail, Fail, Fail, Fail, Fail, Fail, Fail

    Obama = Fail

  • During Bush's administration he had a Dem. senate and Congress it wasn't all him

  • You're not entirely honest, are you...

Bush had a senate majority for half a year in 2001 and from 2003 through 2007, and republicans also had a house majority from 1995 through 2007...

  • @Joddit - And as soon as the dem's gained the majority and started sand bagging to get Obamageddon elected, the economy went to shit!

  • That's right...

Obviously, it couldn't have had anything to do with the fact that there was a financial crisis going on!!

  • That's right......Just ask Barney Frank, he was one of the assclowns that brought that to fruition!

  • That's right...

Alll caused by one Democratic representative... The Republicans obviously weren't to blame, were they??

    You're a clown, Charlie Bobo!!

  • people need to watch "The Obama Deception" and "Fall of the Republic"

  • The Deception is a piece of garbage.

If you want to actually LEARN about the men pulling all the strings - instead of taking comfort in AJ's tinfoil hattery, go to the PBS website and watch 'Frontline: The Warning'. Though you might not like what you see.

Too much reality gets the weak-minded confused.

  • @marquisde

Word, you Do sound pretty confused to me

  • Of course, you can continue to take comfort in Jones' unfounded conspiracy theories. Your call.

  • Ok I GET IT....

but if we are serious about transcening...

why not get all that we all want...

that means public option on one side and Tort reform and also providers to be able to compete across state lines.

    lets be honest here.

the time for games have passed !!!

  • yall gotta think about how much stuff he has to fix thanks 2 Bush.. at least he even has a motivation to try an get it done

  • @hostyle22 - Like what???

  • you mean thanks also to Clinton for signing the sub prime mortgage bill allowing the housing market to crash...you typical democraps blame everything on Bush......obama has been in office a full year and hasnt done shit. You are not gonna be able to blame Bush forever, face it ... you voted for a loser !!!

  • the new world order has hijacked our republic..we need to all stand up and defend the constitution..the time is now..get informed..check out my page for info

  • NWO? I'm assuming that you are referring to the Freemasons and Illuminati? Haven't they corrupted our media/industry/society long enough? Hunh..and now that they've already formed a conspiracy, they will stop at nothing. Poor Norma Gean, Jimmy Hendrix, and the infamous Michael Jackson. All accounted dead because of their repugnance and revolt against the Freemasons. >_>

  • We are the Champions ... Roll Tide Roll ...

  • obama and bush= republicrats= big corps= banks = treason = were still fuckt

  • and finally they all = new world order

  • Comment removed

  • Zero Action and if you remember a little senate seat out of MA, went to the Republicans and the bill has not been signed by the president yet. I am sorry that you feel it has been finished but you still have to go out and work for your health care.

  • Obama = Speeches and ZERO action

  • Barrack Obama shure promising things are easy but everybody know its not gonna happen and wtf is up with him getting that prize he has done shit Barrack Obama is a failiure as all the former presidents

  • What a disappointment....

  • He may not be the best politician, but he's an excellent statesman...

  • Lol, conservatives forestalling the inevitable as always. By the time we achieve seperation of church and state and the right to be healthy, they'll have no dignity left. Can't wait! I hope it's in my lifetime.

  • Dragusss: LOL at Liberal-Minded Fools in their continual attempts to strip away America's foundation. Liberal policies slowly dripping in the cause of our weakening

Seperation of Church & State? Pick up an American History book:

John Jay, 1st Chief Supreme Court Justice of the U.S.:

"Providence has given to our people the choice of their rulers, and it is the duty as well as the privilege and interest of our Christian nation to select and prefer Christians for their rulers."

  • @2010GOP

You might want to argue your points a little better if you want smart and educated people to take you seriously.

  • Forgot to mention the over/under on GITMO....

So much to gain from 0bama!

  • In Vegas the odds were not good but I put $100.00 down that 0bama's healthcare would not pass last year... I won 10 grand!

    Thanks, 0bama!

I got another $500.00 on him being a one term President... don't fail me now 0bama!

  • the Republicans agreed to always disagree with the Democrats...!

  • Considering that most of us in the U.S. (this includes me) get most of out information from the media outlet of our choice (FOX,CNN,MSNBC) I think we are all spoon fed carefully crafted dialogue from out respective news outlets. We have to start reading the history books to see what are country was founded upon, Health care is not only uncostitutional it is not under the purview of the Federal Government.

  • FAIL.

  • Now that Scott Brown has been elected, health care in its current form is dead! I love the fact that they worked around the clock away from the public eye trying to shove this down our throats. And for nothing now! The independents are going to absolutely rape them in 9 months..

  • tell me lies.. tell me sweet little lies.....

  • 2:01 in the video they already bucked up thats the problem lol

  • @cchege...

I have an answer for you...

Anyone who has integrity could do a better job. We are tired of the status quo.

  • We must act? Get the cost of health care down. Get that done and we won't have to pay the outrageous taxes we will get with this pile of manure. Get the costs down, get the insurance companies handovers out of the bill and reform will not be needed. Who do you think will pay for it? TAXPAYERS will pay for it. The money does not grow on trees, it comes out of taxpayers pockets, it won't pay for itself. Stand up to the insurance lobby? It's full of insurance company bull.

  • How do you think other nations fund their social and health care? Of course it comes from taxes! The point of the whole system is that the poor have also a chance to a decent medical care not only the priviliged born in a fortunable environment. The major thing that is slowing the reform down are the selfish upper class people that get startled from the fact they would have to pay more taxes of their luxury funds.

  • This isn't about other nations, this is about what the people in the United States know about the impending health bill. We know we are going to be taxed and that the government wants to take over health care. I don't want the government doing that, just get the costs down and it will all pay for itself. We don't need government takeover of health care. We already have way too many taxes, we need to create jobs and get people back to work, not tax the ones who still have jobs.

  • @elpyesrockman

Indeed, you need to tax your super rich idlers more.

  • @Willarin - The poor already have health coverage assclown!!

  • @Mrcharliebobo Funny thing that the United States has one of the worst health cares amongst other welfare countries on the low class point of view. Looks to me that your current health coverage for the poor isn't just enough.

  • @Willarin

    US a welfare country?

    Please....

  • You're right, Bobo. It's not the poor who are really suffering from our current system. It's the working middle class. Surely, they deserve the same consideration as the poor, don't you think?

  • @Mrcharliebobo

What a mature and educated response! You sure must be a civilized and intelligent person ^^

  • @khatack - And you must be one of those gerbil smothering asspuppets we have heard so much about!

  • @Mrcharliebobo

A gerbil smothering asspuppet? How flattering.

Your insight of society functions is surely exceeded only by your ability for compliments.

  • And you should grow some balls and use the reply feature or are you that much of a liberalassclown whispering eye!! that you post responses to comments and expect no rebuttal because you don't use it?

  • You make an awful lot of assumptions.

Here's the deal: I'll agree to grow some balls, but in the meantime, you'll have to agree to grow some brain. You alright with that?

  • to all the Obama haters. fine he has not done what he promised he would do but the question is. who would do a better job ? i wonder how it would have been if we had put mccain/ palin in power? are they all idiots? who knows

  • yapi - So, you're from Portugal?

I'm curious, is Portugal so bereft of heroes that you have to worship a U.S. President? And a failed U.S. President at that?

  • I laughed so hard at the title. Is there nothing the media won't do for this guy?

  • Barack Obama is the last and worst evil tyrant this world will ever see.....the death!

Martial law will be declared in 2010, holocaust will proceed.....a desolation

  • Perhaps a more appropriate title for the video might be "Not Getting It Done."

The American people have finally awakened and it ain't gonna happen.

  • ps: i do not live in a super power, but i know that if i need a doctor... i can have one eve if i do not have a job my country can help me!

all the rest is insurance agents crap!

  • @yapitest

I live in a superpower and I know that, even without insurance, the hospital cannot turn me away if I need care.

We already have universal care in the US, no need to add a HUGE layer of government ontop of it.

  • he is a good man, a good leader but unfortunately he has no real power and he received a bankrupt country whit a declining influence in the world..

    G. W Bush destroys America and obama pays the bill.. lolol

    Hello china..

  • Learn how to spell!

  • I'm guessing someone has already brought this up.....but if this is such a good plan, why do all the top political dogs have themselves opted out of it?

  • @MobileSpies They opt out of nearly everything they shove down the peoples throats. Lot of the bills leaves politicians with special exemptions or allowances.

  • This video is pretty well done.

People who like Obama see it as "He's still trying, he wont give up."

People who hate Obama see it as "He's he's a complete failure."

  • Obama has opened my eyes wide to how completely full of shit ALL politicians are. That little spectacle they put on with Lieberman with a FIFTY NINE SEAT MAJORITY tells you all you need to know about what 'government' is actually about. It's about money and power. You matter a little bit, a token gesture here and there. So they can stay in power and continue to screw you, of course.

  • it is so sad the Senate Democrats has stalled on health-care reform, and yet sum ppl blames President Obama. i thought according to the Constitution stated that the Congress make the laws and not the President?

  • "To pretend that the Congressional Republicans have not been pursuing a monolithic strategy of rejection and obstruction, that they have been willing to bargain in good faith, and that the Democrats are the ones who haven't been open to reasonable compromise--yes, there are people who have made, or implied, all these claims--is simply to lose contact with reality."

    -jeff weintraub

  • Many Americans are very sick of being lectured to by this socialist failure.

Here is a video of healthcare reform and the November elections for Democrats....

    v=VY_I6doz6Qk

  • Jimmy Carter 2.0HD....The Failmiser.

This is a very sad failure as a U.S. President.

    Zero jobs.

    Failure after failure.

LET THE BODIES HIT THE FLOOR!!

  • whahahahahaah I love love your comment

Jimmy Carter 2,0 HD ;-) whahahahahaahah

  • LOL! Obama is such a joke. I like how this video pokes fun at Obama, Good job TPM TV.

  • Universal healthcare is the way to go.

  • @themanyouwishyouwere Your not funny. Its not being proactive by poking fun at Obama

  • ROTFLMAO.

    Obama, Get R Done..

  • Obama could get a lot more done if the Republicans would not vote against him and obstruct him every single time no matter what the Democrats put on the table. The GOP has played health care for politics this entire year. They want to deny Obama and the American people any victory. Simple as that.

  • Good try, but Dems could have passed this without Republicans. So it can not be blamed on Republicans. It was a lousy bill, otherwise they could have easily passed it without Republicans. Thank God for at least the few that said NO. Our economy does not need this further burden.

  • Obama is the " Black Jimmy Carter".

  • Leadership??? HA HA HA!!! Hussein Hopenchange is a joke!!!

  • 20 billion dollars per month in extended unemployment benefits. 240 billion dollars per year. When this shuts off , THEN the revolution begins.

  • Ron Paul has some good ideas, but he would be a guaranteed failure. A third party would also be a failure and it would get Obama elected again. Just like the 1992 elections and Ross Perot.

    Net result=The Clitons

  • Senate and House have voted. Now you must include:

Tort "reform" and across statelines insurance "reform". That will include republicans, and independents. And also keep the public option. Transcend , as required by the nov 4, 2008 vote.

Those 2 issues, are crucial for your success, otherwise it is is just a game.

    this is not a game.

    Steady as she goes.

  • @thecruiseliner

What about being able to buy strictly "catastrophic insurance."

Currently you can't get that because of all of the state mandates that include coverage on things that are not catastrophic.

  • @bkdmd If this Government want cheap Health Insurance then just lift all the government regs that keep health insurance companies from selling in any state and make the competition lower the cost. Any time you have the Government as your partner, your going to fail and pay more.

  • "Cross state competition - one of the red herrings the GOP uses for the sole purpose of killing the h.c. reform for the GOP's own political purposes.

First a digression, here is what one GOP politician said about it:

"I am normally a very proud Republican. But every time I hear this Sell across state line policy, I am embarrassed. Republicans are to be the ones big on State rights. This policy is a direct attack on States rights and their ability to rule themselves."

    .. more to come...

  • There are a lot of reasons why cross state competition could never be relied on to solve the problems of the h.c. insurance system.

    1) an out-of-state health plan by definition isn't going to have a local provider network and will have health care costs that are a lot more expensive than a local plan that does have discounts and managed care protocols negotiated with providers.

    ... con'td next comment

  • ..cont'd:

    2) Insurance companies react to more competition in ways that are not in the public interest:

    a) they reduce competition through mergers & acquisitions & increased market concentration.

The AMAssociation reports 95% of insur. markets in the U.S. are now highly concentrated and the no. of insurers has fallen by just under 20 percent since 2000. These mergers have not led to benefits for consumers: Premiums skyrocketed 87% over the six years.

    ... cont'd next comment

  • cross state competition cont'd.

Another way insur. co.'s react to increased competition is increased risk avoidance. In other words even more aggressive managed care, which has a detrimental effect on patients long term health, and even more avoidance of anyone who has the slightest health issue, so even more uninsured.

    3) A major roadblock to cross-state competition is state reg.s It 's unrealistic to assume states will completely drop their reg's, which were for state policy goals.

  • contd

But assume no state reg's: Co's could offer cheaper plans with less coverage, excluding anyone w/ health issues, so that lowers the average of premium cost & more could afford plans. Those who feel healthy &/or can't afford high premiums will often choose the cheaper plans. A percentage of them will incur the illnesses or injuries not covered. Result: Med. costs are shifted from a risk pool onto the backs of the sick & injured, at a time when they can probably least afford it,

  • The flip side of cheaper plans that exclude anyone w/ health issues is that people w/ health issues are priced out of the insur. market entirely.

The thing is, no one can say for certain that they will never develop health issues or lose their insurance.

  • What about the other GOP propaganda:

    - if you don't buy insur. you will go to jail

    - the bills would mean "socialized medicine", "government run h..c.:, "gov't takeover of the h;c. industry"

    - it would just be subsidizing illegal immigrants

    - we don't want a "socialist" h.c. system like that of Canada because it would mean horrible wait times & rationing

    - we don't have enough doctors now, how can we afford to insure more people.

All bullshit, just like tort reform & cross state.

  • megarational, I really do appreciate your effort to inform. Thank you

  • @bkdmd

That's always been an interesting and GOOD idea. To have two types of insurance, one type for routine and relatively inexpensive medical care, and another type for catastrophic medical conditions, treatment of which would bankrupt the average family. The basic insurance could have more flexible premiums and higher deductibles.

  • a) higher deductibles & co-payments and "caps" are a barrier to h.c. for those at lower incomes.

    b) why bother to separate out catastrophic coverage since it's something everyone should have as part of any insur. coverage?

  • @thecruiseliner

    "across statelines insurance reform."

Being able to buy insurance across state lines, and take it with you from place to place, and job to job while retaining the lower prices that large groups can command by market share was what the National Health Insurance Exchange was supposed to do.

Nevertheless, Republicans and a few Democrats who claim to want those things still oppose these bills. It's amazing.

  • GET-R-DONE!!!!

  • @EFISHANT

I tell you what. You give me back the 15.3% of my income and I will.

I think they are both unconstitutional anyway.

So give me back my money and I will call it even.

    How does that sound?

    Atlas is about to Shrug!

  • would love to, just refund my money. I'll put it with the rest of my Investments.

  • @EFISHANT, that statement is perfect. Can we get that to the voting both quick; and then people will either put up or shut up.

  • Social security and medcaid are both broke. But you like them? Why

There are much better ways to provide both , but you wouldn't understand.

  • Well said bkdmd

  • Who else agrees we need

POLITICAL REFORMS and GOVERNMENT OPERATIONAL REFORMS

before we need health care reforms.

  • Im done with thi stupid thread and the morons that inhait it. Don't expect any further responses from me, you are boring, lack intelligence and most importantly are jealous of anyone with an education.

Now be the reactionary MORONS that you are and post to my profile but read it first to see what I think of you.

  • @lezxotic

This is where progressives and liberals lose their argument. They want to believe they are more intelligent because they are progressive.

  • @lezxotic

I reported you for your comment you made to mychannel.

That just shows me you are our of your league and I have too many weapons for you.

I got skills and a larger armamentarium.

You look foolish making those comments on mychannel.

Opinions are just feelings. They are not right or wrong, but looking how polling is going and the election in mass more agree with me.

    Regards!

  • Washington DC is a circus. America is the greatest country in the world. America is not Washington. America is 3.5 million sq miles of free citizens. Washinton is just 68 sq miles of insanity.

  • I went to Massachusetts from California to help Scott Brown on his campaign for U.S. Senate. I cant tell you that in such a blue state such as Mass; the people there are sick of Obama and his policies. Such a historical election and I think it might dismantle Obama's administration.

  • U don't know sh"t about Public Policy and STOP lying u did NOT go from CA to MA to help Brown, if you had then you would have a life and NOT be on YouTube LIAR.

I'm an adult do u think I can't tell when a child is lying?

  • Republicans are the laughing stock of the world.
