  • did he say ratio alvio uhh 6 rounds fire

  • thts tiny my bb guns bigger than tht

  • epic win ....and epic sound

  • Amazing how such a gun can give better support fire than those gigantic battle ships.

  • @chica476 gunboat frigate destroyer battle crusier aircraft carrier submarine

  • lol afire

  • the us uses the 5"/54 mod 4 naval gun. It's the largest at 127 mm.

  • @staffsgtamous

The Russians use AK-130ies which are twin 130mm guns.

  • HMm.. its not as loud as I though

  • dear santa

  • @zillybock Get some new material please this "dear Santa" shit is getting old

  • de que son los casquillos de municion de estas armas

  • Make it eight times bigger, and you have the Schwerer Gustav (800mm), the largest rifled weapon ever produced.

  • it may not be the largest gun, but its surprisingly fast fire could end most ships, or at least take out alot of their crew! I commend Belgium for this surprise!

  • Belgium has a navy?

  • looks like the shit is under fire itself

  • Still not as cool or devastating as a 16"/50 firing a 2700 pound armor piercing shell.

  • thatsa bigg motha fuckerr

  • Comment removed

  • Cannons may seem useless nowadays, however, their shells cost only a fraction of what missiles and so on cost. Plus, missiles and the like can be shot down, distracted by flares or misguided by other ECM measures. But the target's armour is the only thing between you and an artillery shell!

  • After all they they still missed the damn seagull!

  • the Belgian navy now has a $1,000,000 reward for that seagull.

  • Nice rate of fire.

  • i got shot 3 times by a 100mm.... just dusted it off and kept going

  • wow thts a cute gun...

  • pew pew pew pew

  • wow

12"(300mm nearly) rail mounted naval gun was powerful used in ww1

but not the most power i know the germans a had a 420mm field gun called big bertha i think that is one of the biggest

  • the 18 inch shell if the largest at a mm of 486mm on the yamato the iowa class 16 inch was 405mm

  • @golfisgreat123 18 inch guns? We should mount those on the ships of the Royal Danish navy.

  • @Blackie3391 The danish have a military? lol

  • @jiggahippo Uhm yes? Our navy is more than twice as old as the US... 500th birthday last year. And our army has units dating back to the 1600s...

Denmark has been a very close ally to the US ever since WW2 and an extremly active one - "Obama: Denmark packs a punch above its weight" because we are one of the nations with most troops in Afghanistan compare to our population and we are one of the nation who has lost the most soldiers compare to our population

  • @Blackie3391 My deepest Apologise, I stand corrected.

  • @Blackie3391 Thank you to the brave men/women of Denmark serving their country and assisting mine in the fight against terror!!!!!

  • In matter of fact, the biggest gun ever made, is little david (a mortar) 36''/inch canon.

It can penetrate through yamato's armor whit ease, probaly go through the whole ship and end on the botom of the ocean.

But has limited range and is an mortar.

So the biggest gun whit range, is the schwerer gustav/dora gun.

whit 800mm/ 31''/inch it's the biggest gun, wich can also move!

  • @rsgrievous10

The biggest railway gun they had was 2 sister guns, Both at 500mm.

  • yeah i saw a tv program about artillary guns and they were mentioned they were german and used in ww2 but now artillary has become less used now 100mm is big nowa days because of more accruate bombing and guided missles artillary is rarely used than show pieces

  • look up the iraqi supergun or gerald bull..... this canadian man made 2 large weapons.... i think the smaller was 300mm the large was 400m+ one is still intact on a caribbean island and the other was destroyed by UN after the 91 gulf war..... the bigger one was capable of launching satellites into orbit.... or a conventional projectile over 1000km

  • i couldnt find anything..... found a tsar cannon 890mm a big one but theres no evidense to show its been used

    975mm monster mortar

    largest railwat gun Schwerer Gustav

i dont know about iraqi sperguns...

  • ok then.... loook up dr gerald bull

  • @101andrewj

no nothing i meant of those sizes i found stuff but not usefull

    trust wikipedia =/

  • uhm..... Je zult 76 mm bedoelen. Karel doorman klasse heeft 76mm. Er zijn in de belgische marine geen schepen met 100mm. In de nederlandse marine zijn ze 127mm maar dat is de zeven provincie klasse.

  • Who gets to pick up all that leftover brass?

  • nobody there never reused, so over the side they go.

  • no one they just roll off the side of the ship

  • lol looks at that and than look at a video of the uss wisconsin firing her 16 " guns.... big difference

  • out of date, big guns.

  • lol

  • u suck , us dont suck the only country that sucks is North Korea

  • if we talking about US thats absoulutely true

  • thats awesome, imagine if tanks shot that fast. holy shit.

  • just think what tanks will be like in 70 years...

  • they would have photon cannons, or particle beam cannon, or railguns, and they would shoot just as fast or even faster.

  • I think the US army has something like a particle beam cannon.... its a beam, you cant see, but its so fucking damn hot it melts every kind of hard structure (with basics of metal)

  • the US has a beam like device that is used as a less than lethal weapon

  • No need to imagine, there are tanks that can shoot 6+ projectiles per minute very accurately.

  • but this was in seconds though. and yeah i know. the t-90 can do it. they can shoot 3 in 15 seconds. those things are awesome.

  • Yes, Russians have some nice weapons as well :)

  • It's a good deal cheaper than going through all the hazzle of developing an entirely new class of ships.

  • lmao at 9 seconds in an empty shell just rolls around on the deck, I hope it didnt go in the water.

  • some gus are very powerful the shell fly in to the water like missiel

  • thought bismark was 16? Wasn't 15 inch the british representitive calliber??

  • Bismarck had 17 inch guns.

  • Incorrect. Bismarck has 8 - 15" guns. KGV type BB, had 10 - 14" guns.

  • 20 100mm shells a minute? No, it can do 40 a minute if they want to. i use to be a gunman on that ship

  • is it possible to burn out the barrel?

  • don't know, it's just on paper that it can do 40 a min. we tried it once and after 15 rounds in about 25sec. the gun was ripping the dek appart!!!! lol... we don't use these ships anymore they were build in the 70' and there were only 4 of them just for the belgian navy. now we use the much better frigates of the duth karel doornman class

  • Karel Doorman fregatten staan misschien beter bekend als M-Fregatten :)

    (Multipurpose Fregat)

    prachtige dingen :)

hier in Nederland hebben we op het moment nog maar 2 :( maar wij krijgen er wel 4 nieuwe patrouille schepen bij:)

  • on a belgian ship?

  • it's one of the 4 they had at that time, I served on all 4. BNS Westhinder, Wandelaar, Westdiep or Wiellinge.

  • 18.1

  • 406mm or 16" guns do exist, they equiped US battle ships such as the USS New Jersey that saw action in Viet Nam in 1969.

  • this battle ships of 406mm ammunition, there were in WWII ex. the bismarck or yamato

  • only 100mm? no 406mms? :(

  • maybe your joking, but i dont think theres anything 406mm in existence

  • North Carolina, South Dakota and Colorado class ships had them. Iowa class battleships have them. 16 inch = 406mm. largest were the 460mm cannons on the doomed yamato class warships

  • those guns were obsolete for a reason...

  • they became obsolete because of the aircraft carrier.

  • Damn that thing is fast.

    20 100mm shells a minute? Daaammmmnnnn

  • damn that bitch is fast and powerful.

  • If you want something done right you do it with an AEGIS cruiser, like the one Im on..The best in the business

  • i want one

  • amazing

  • BNS F911 Westdiep

  • Which ship is this?

  • Good stuff
