Hey here's the truth: 1) Series broadcast on BBC (including this sketch); 2) Series released on VHS with some extras, but some bits cut compared to TV broadcast; 3) Complete Smell of released on DVD, which was like the broadcast version, but with cuts. Hence not including this sketch. Some of us were lucky enough to record off the telly at the time AND buy the extended VHS versions. Still have both (I hope!).

@drlemoncobra Unless you've got the original VHS in the Red & Blue editions you'll lose a bit just having the DVD.  They've missed out a fair bit.

Because Vic and Bob keep getting shafted. The VHS versions had a little intro where the 2 of them say there is extra stuff. So I guess the DVD is what was on TV, but not everything they filem, which was put onto the video.

As retread01 says the VHS versions have extra stuff than the broadcast versions but the DVD versions have extra stuff that the VHS versions son't have. It's annoying that they weren't given a full release but as we've seen with the Big Night Out DVD, out any product out seems to take precedent over putting out a complete and well thought out product.
