In all honesty, the SVT Focus, while being a pretty cool car, as far as Ford's American offerings go, was a disappointment to me, as they had the Focus RS in Europe. it was FWD, too, but it had 212HP and, if I remember correctly, it weighed a lot less than the US version.
i can buy an 1987 XR4Ti for $1,200, runs good, body in good shape faded red paint. i'm sure i can drive it home for atleast 900 maybe cheaper, and i already have an 18g forced performance turbo ready for it if i decide to get it. that would be a fun project, even more fun than my former honda rides! they're cheap, rwd, and i can even swap an ls1 in the future. more tempting than a crx....and i love hondas
oH we were just talking about the different engines in the eng and the US ver of the for XR4X4 etc. He mentioned he had a corolla he uses for driffting just a coinsidence. Thanks 4 the reply

i had one, junked it but kept the turbo. the mistubishi i put the turbo in went up to 130mph no prob. those merkurs are pretty dope

my corolla looks fast as hell.. but its far from. My xr on the other hand is a freakin rocket. Cant base a performance judgement on looks. ;)

It's as good as America has to the Sierra Cosworth.. which is so fast it'd pop your eye balls before you can say "looks"
The cossie is a legend, and certainly not slow.

@slimeball6969 doesn't look slow this thing has an awesome 2.3 liter turbo. it has a registered speed of 150mph which it'll probably go a bit faster
