Humanity has been deceived believing in an assumed saint, which is not, but is a demon, working through an idol made by the hand of man. But, let me tell you that the Lord wants to give you the best. He wants you to enter the Kingdom of Heaven; to repent and to leave idolatry. Because idolatry will not save you. Jesus Christ of Nazareth is the one that saves, who gave His life for you, for me and for all humanity.
Okay, I just have one problem with this video (I apologize, I really do). My patron saint is St. Augustine (happily approaching my 1 year anniversary of my Confirmation this Easter Vigil!). When he was invoked, the priest said "Saint AW-guss-teen" (1:40). Because St. Augustine's Latin name (I'm a Latin major) is S. Augustinus, the stress falls on the 'gus' syllable. (Augustine is the spelling of the vocative of his name.) Thus, "Saint uh-GUS-tin." Thank you.
It's awesome to be Catholic, I was NEVER catholic my whole life, untill Easter Vigil 2009. I was baptized, Recieved First Communion and Confirmation. I'm excited and very happy to be Roman Catholic, now I'm the cantor. And in the church choir.
I can't begin to express how much I have appreciated coming across this lovely video. The Cantor's pitch is really true, and the entire video is very inspiring. Thank you for posting this.
Yes, absolutely. The only thing the Church asks is that you do not receive communion until you are in full communion with the Church (a Catholic) and living in a state of grace. I went to mass for 2 years before accepting the faith. God bless, Marc
Of course you would. Of course you couldn't recieve the Sacrament. You are so very welcome. If you want to know anything about the Catholic Church feel free to get in touch with me.
@KC1967 You are more than welcome, no one will chase you away and if you want to join too you can do the RCIA course at your local catholic church all are welcome also to attend mass only that you will not be able to receive Jesus in the sacrament of the holy eucharist you have to be a practicing catholic for this but you can go up and get a blessing from the priest by crossing your hands over your chest then he will know you are not ready to receive the host.
Well to be honest it isn't too bad. I find the Litany of Saints to be very beautiful. I've never seen it done where people are standing. Every time I am at Mass where this is recited we are all kneeling.
My first time at an Orthodox church I thought 90 minutes of standing, more or less, was a lot. Once you get used to the liturgy's rhythm and you begin praying the liturgy could be 3 hours and it'd be nothing. Any of this that raises us to God makes it worth it.
@SacredHeartChurch You mean the Holy Catholic Church and those entrusted to investigate the lives of Saints and ascertain the miracles associated with those in the process of canonization right?
congratulations! and welcome home! The traditional call & response of the Litany never fails to cause me verklempt... reminds me of my failings and need to seek the Lord's Mercy...
I for one revel in the pomp and ceremony of thousands of years old tradition...
Baptist. In fact I was seminary trained Baptist pastor for over 15 years. I am joined Coming Home Network after becoming Catholic. Do a web search if you are unfamiliar with that support group.
This is the authentic "Church" that Christ built for Himself as a heritage from his Father. It is built on the blood of Christ himself as well as the apostles, the martyrs and the virgins as well. What more can we ask for. It's a pity why others would not take ad-vantage of all these graces. One Holy Catho-lic & Apostolic Church. God our Father we thank you for your son JesusChrist- for the shedding of his blood to save and heal all of us.Hail Mary full of grace the Lord is with you blessed r

To live in a state of grace means that you are not living in a state of mortal sin and working to help bring about the Kingdom of God in the world.

I've never heard the Litany of the Saints in English. Greetings from Italy and God bless you all!

A " saint" is a human invention. Nobody can declare somebody a "saint", because nobody knows the heart of a person.
Philos2006 3 years ago
That's funny, because I can tell your heart isn't in the right place.
dfxr808 3 years ago
"Nobody can declare somebody a "saint""
Nobody except the Church Christ founded on earth and entrusted with the "keys".
SacredHeartChurch 3 years ago 7
"The litany of the saints" is the christian equivalent of the Boudhist "rattle prayer".

@Philos2006 Only God can make a saint, but we (The RCC) can express our opinions about what God did.
