@Nihilanth1982 How long did you stay in NYC? I think to appreciate it, you have to live there. I go there every summer and have the best 3months of my year. Live in manhattan for 3months and tell me it's overrated. The best city in the world. As john lennon said "it may not be the capital of the U.S, but it's the capital of the universe". P.s Hells kitchen and East village, great places to live!

@spuddyb18 'capital of the universe' - typical self centred statement. and yes, it is overrated. and its not the best city in the world, though its not the worst either. i just get sick of people overhyping it like its the 'capital of the universe' when thats the most arrogant thing you can say about a place. i'm a football fan and they dont even do football there. sorry, you may like it, but from my experience i wont go again. quite frankly, the place stinks and sucks balls.

@Nihilanth1982 Obviously deciding the best city in the world is totally subjective. Whats your favourite city? I presume by football you are referring to soccer/football the english game. the new york red bulls are a good mls team in the states and have signed theirry henry, you may not agree, but i think you can understand how people (John Lennon) would call it the capitol of the universe- i.e size, times square, 24hour city, money, height of buildings, atmosphere etc.

@spuddyb18 agreed, its all subjective. maybe you and lennon may like it, but i left feeling abit disappointed. anyway, for me the centre of the universe is my home - its the capital of my own world. nyc is just another place.
