I think it's a genetic thing as to what type of person enjoys smoking. Some people have the inability to taste some of the more heavy chemicals, so it doesn't bother them; others do and just hate smoking.

Personally, I am against legalizing pot anywhere in the world. I'm Dutch, and we'd miss out on potential costumers. Other then that, there will not be much of a difference. Weed is legal here, and we still have drug problems.

@SpecialEdward121 Well, I smoked for almost a decade and I knew it was killing me. The chest pain, the weezing and coughing...not to mention the smell. I was disgusting. My dad died due to complications from smoking in 2006 and my cousin was diagnosed with lung cancer shortly after. It was because of these two things that I quit. I never gave an excuse for what I did and I was quite ashamed of it so now almost four years without so much as a puff I can say I'll never touch cigarettes again.

I got disgusted one day after seeing my cousin with a hole in his throat with smoke and blood coming from it so I took the last pack I was smoking and simply threw it out and never bought another one. Quitting is simple...stop buying the damn things. It's as simple as that. There will be some physical withdrawl but folks need to just man up and take it. It's worth it.

my boyfriend doesn't smoke, but no matter where he goes, somebody is ALWAYS smoking around him, whether it's family or friends. and everytime i lay on his chest and listen to his heart, it beats so much faster than mine does because of the second-hand smoke that he inhales. that is why i quit smoking after a year of starting--because i love him too much to see him suffer even more.

Personally, I am against legalizing pot anywhere in the world. I'm Dutch, and we'd miss out on potential costumers. Other then that, there will not be much of a difference. Weed is legal here, and we still have drug problems.
On to the subject of the video: I just like to smoke. I know it's expensive, I know it's bad for me, and I know it might be bad for the people around me. But unless you're an asshole who blows smoke into everyone's face, it's not like they'll drop dead.

Their biggest concern is the health of the population.Take for example Indonesia.In those parts, cigarette advertising is still legal.And in Indonesia, many young (including a 2-year old) children smoke.So you see, such "moral crusades" are much needed.

I quit smoking (2 packs a day) when I was 30 years old. Now I am 61, and can say without a doubt that quitting smoking was one of the best things I ever did in my life.
Smoking is a heinous addiction which will, in some way, affect every smoker's life negatively. QUIT now, it's never too late.

I remember when I was 18 and thought about trying it but that was the first year 1968 that studies came out saying it was not good. So I decided not to start.
I think the worse part is it causes free radical damage to the cells. Free radicals cause you to age faster. Drinking causes free radials too, so if you do both together it's even worse.

Another favorite of thiers is stating something like, "only 5% of smokers die of lung cancer". They never bother to look up the statistics on all the other smoke related causes of death.

@SpecialEdward121 Well, I smoked for almost a decade and I knew it was killing me. The chest pain, the weezing and coughing...not to mention the smell. I was disgusting. My dad died due to complications from smoking in 2006 and my cousin was diagnosed with lung cancer shortly after. It was because of these two things that I quit. I never gave an excuse for what I did and I was quite ashamed of it so now almost four years without so much as a puff I can say I'll never touch cigarettes again.

I got disgusted one day after seeing my cousin with a hole in his throat with smoke and blood coming from it so I took the last pack I was smoking and simply threw it out and never bought another one. Quitting is simple...stop buying the damn things. It's as simple as that. There will be some physical withdrawl but folks need to just man up and take it. It's worth it.
