Fact: Only 6 to 8 cents on the dollar are spent on veterans. Want to help a vet? Contribute to the Wounded Warrior Project, the American Legion, VFW, AMVETS, DAV or scores of other legitimate veterans organizations.
This is a fraudulent group that refuses to give out audit information about its use of your donations and is not eligible for tax exempt status. It disgustingly preys on our concern for veterans to direct money away from real veteran support organizations. They harass telephone customers with hangup call after hangup call, abuse the letter of do-not-call laws after inducing call backs, and are rude, abusive, and intimidating to those who won't give them money.
Once you get on their call list they will not remove you. Have repeatedly asked them to stop calling a stroke victim that I'm caring for. Got rude and called me names when I told them they couldn't speak to him and he couldn't donate any money to them. Months later they still call about twice per week. According to an article in the Hartford Courant, 11-10-05 "At the Foundation for American Veterans in Michigan, just 6 cents of every dollar raised goes to services for veterans."

I think this organization doesn't exist. Why call some 10 times in one night. I'm reporting them to the FTC.
