@gigihentz1 then you would be making a huge mistake. you misunderstand the situation in ireland; these attacks happened in a loyalist community. loyalists generally consider themselves british, not irish, and have carried out similar attacks on the catholic (irish) community. so you would actually be going after the completely wrong person... loyalists traditionally have seen irish people as their enemies, as the "other side". it is all a lot more complicated though.

having said that, i don't mean that all loyalists or protestants or people who identify as british would be the same as those who did this, of course they wouldn't be. it's really hard to explain without generalising, but then those generalisations are not good either. if you are confused then look up "the troubles in northern ireland" and you will see why it would definitely be silly to want to kill an irish person for this.

@FayeKelly yeah i know, i was a bit upset, acctualy a bit more...especialy when i was in romania, because when we had that news on our tv chanell in romania it sounded very rasist. I also agree with the fact that they where romanian gipsys which we don't like them, nobody likes them. I am romanian and in my country gypsis are a pain in the ass, im sure they are everywhere a pain in the ass. There is no wounder why they get evacuated from where ever they are...because of their bad reputation.

@gigihentz1 yes they were racist attacks indeed. i just thought it was ironic that a lot of people online blamed "the irish" for it, when actually the people who did it probably don't call themselves irish. though of course there are racists in both "irish" and "british" communities in belfast so it is all the same maybe. i don't mind the roma gypsies myself, i think they are ok, but i understand that there are tensions because they live in such a different way to everyone else.

i was visiting a woman who lives in bucuresti. we were on a bus and some kids got on and started singing and holding religious symbols. she said "don't look at them. they only want money. they are gypies". now' i never had a clue as to what was going on. but i found out later she had a hatred of these people. she had no real reasons and never gave me any good explanitions to be against them other than it was the way she was brought up to think. to end it. she turned out to be the real asshole.
