do you have email, i recently bought my rabbit but i am confused with all this online information .and i don't want to heart my rabbit because i don't know much of it.
Our rabbits have ALWAYS lived outside. We have had no probalems for years. They are allowed to run around the fence and they LOVE it. I think it's horrible to keep them inside a cage. They were once WILD animals! They deserve to live in their natural habitat! What if someone just bought you and put you in a closet?
@scooby1779 Don't buy from pet stores, adopt. It's much cheaper in the long-run because the rabbit you adopt will already be spayed/neutered, which is a very expensive procedure. Also, you'll know their personality when you get them, while baby rabbits, although all cute and cuddly, can completely change personality as they get older. Pet stores breed their rabbits in horrible conditions until they die and are the reason there are so many rabbits in adoption centers.
What are some of the best pros to having a pet rabbit? The seamstress for my marching band has a rescue rabbit that she would give me for free, but my parents aren't warming up to the idea.
love video, but must say i do agree with comment below about they can live just as long out doors if all requirements are met. and they do get fresh air. x
Hello there, i just love your bunny video's, there very helpful :). i was just wondering what breed of bunny is the Black and white one? regards from Leisha
I have been wanting a Rabbit for a couple months now I go to school 8 hours a day. I was thinking of letting the bunny roam around my room before and after school I have a large room.I also have a medium sized dog who is very friendly he doesnt spend alot of time in my room. I have $20 monthly allowence so if I save up my money for a few months to buy the bunny and its other needs then spend the $20 on food and toys each month will that b ok R my conditions okay for a bunny?
@isabelmarie93xx Yes you have good conditions but don't let the bunny roam around your room if you have wooden furniture or wires he might chew them. (:
@MissMusic2416 i have they same question cuz when i get my new room its gonna have a carpet if they are cant play on the carpet??? please reply before my room is made :)
@lysha89 i hared from somewhere that u put thier poop(and pee soaked stuff) inside of the litter box, so they know that where they poop, they said it takes about a week to potty train them.
@love4musicable they dont its just that you put the timothy hay on one section of the litter box because they sometimes eat and use it at the same time they dont pee on the timothy hay they pee on the litter while they are eating. please someone correct me if i'm wrong :)
i am trying to get a rabbit but i am wondering if carpet is safe for a rabbit and where can i fiind young and small rabbit because my room is not too big and iam living in los angeles so where can i find many different rabbits near my house
I have learned through painful, personal experience that there is nothing more important to the well-being of rabbits than what one feeds one's rabbits. And doing everything to encourage their eating a whole lot of of hay should be emphasized in any presentation of proper rabbit care. I had had no idea that my feeding my rabbits too many pellets caused them to not eat enough hay, and this resulted in three of my rabbits so sadly dying. I miss those adorable cuties so very much :-(
I've been taking advantage of these great videos!! Thank you!! I'm seriously considering adopting my foster rabbit, and these videos have come in handy. One thing I wanted to mention for those people who want to have the rabbit run free in a room, is to put tubing over the exposed wire(s). You can get plastic wire tubes at Home Depot (or even at Walmart) and make sure there's enough litterboxes around so they can decide where they want to "go" initially.
im thinking about getting a rabbit. i would most likely be keeping it on my back porch in a cage or hutch. i live in Florida so there wouldnt be any cold weather, the porch is screened and has a concrete floor. its pretty big. do you think that would be an alright place to keep a rabbit?? should i just let it run free on the porch or keep it in a cage and let it out and play with it?? please give me some tips. thanks :)
i have many inportent questions so please anwser them 4 me. first my bunny was an outside bunny for 5 or 6 years we finally brought him inside. Now he is only mine and i use pine bedding and timithy hay 4 him. i put the pine bedding on the bottom of the cage. im not sure wat the cage is called but the sticker says ph (prevue henreyx). Anyway we r going to get him a new cage or x-pen. What should i get? he is not a dwarf and he is my only bunny. im leash training him and its going well.
He amm it doesnt matter if the rabbits r indoor or outdoors cause think about it rabbits r not humans sure i love them but the rabbits r outdoor animals ...i mean that in the wild they wont have a home 2 live in .. pls reply
We get ours at thrift stores and stores that re-sell baby items. The rabbits love sitting on them and its ok if they chew a little on them (its very hard plastic). They also enjoy lying under them! Its too cute when they sit on them and watch the world go by!
@marinhumane i need your help. i have a 6 month yr old bunny, am getting 1 more. they are both dwarfs. my bunyn atm is scared to walk on the floor. (he likes carpet) so what size x-pen should i get. and i take my bunny out of a cage for about 5-8 hours daily. is tha good?
I LOVE your videos. I have rabbits and I already know how to take care of them, but I am always eager to learn new things. Gread vid very instructional
I got my rabbit at a shelter. He had been previously neglected by his owner and dumped in the backyard to die... I am really glad I adopted him. He trusts humans again and is the sweetest boy (:
at 2:10 that about the size cage im getting for my new dwarf rabbit i dont have the rabbit or cage yet the cage is coming soon and im getting the cage for about $45
also around christmas im getting to x pens for my rabbit and maybe i might get a second dwarf but if i do gat a second i have to bond them for a week or more
no, if you expose it to water for to long the rabbit will get sick. only wash it if you really have to. fill the tub with an inch of water and wrap its bottom half with a towel so it wont get scared.
i got a bunbun about three weeks ago and she does binkies whenever she can lol.. i dont no how old she is do u no how to telll ive tryed looking but nothing has helped so far can u????
The next time you take your bunny to the vet, ask how old she is. They should be able to give you a good estimate. Also, check out the Marin Humane Society's other videos about rabbits - they have lots of tips!
she is tryin litter training she does pee in it so far but pooping isnt goin so well? and she have three different cages...outside(only in spring great weather) in my room (at nights to scared to leave her in outside all night lol) and i have gated and bunny proofed a corner in the backyard so i can watch her do binkies and she loves it sooo much. ANY tips will help please respond!!!!
when i get a rabbit my parents said it would have to be kept outside but i would keep it in a hutch in the barn and no animals can get in. ill keep it cool in the summer and warm in the winter. if it gets really hot or cold, i will bring it inside. ill let it get fresh air every day and bring it inside daily too. is this ok?
i keep my 2 rabbits in a hutch with an indoor box attached it has a little window and a nesting box (it is a chicken coop lol) and lots of comfy hay they can eat. it is very warm where i live. if it is to hot i gove them a cold bottle wrapped in a towl. i belive rabbits should live outside with an enclosed area to sleep they lived outdoors for quite a while
Can't you put a leash on the rabbit and walk it around? Thats what my best friend did. (:
