This creates a hostile environment that generally transfers into their school life, which makes them defensive, and equally hostile to teachers and students. Add that into the fact that a lot of these kid's parents either put too much pressure on them, or couldn't care less and you get someone that is very closed off, and does not respond well to authority.

Problem was the teacher only addressed the problem when another teacher mentioned the noise level. You can tell he felt guilty yelling and therefor was lenient with the whistler and the videographer. He needed to address all the inappropriate behaviors and not just the one guy. The whistler should have left and the video phone should have been confinscated. Sadly, behavior should be graded along with the cirriculum in which case several students would have gotten an F

Problem was the teacher only addressed the problem when another teacher mentioned the noise level. You can tell he felt guilty yelling and therefor was lenient with the whistler and the videographer. He needed to address all the inappropriate behaviors and not just the one guy. The whistler should have left and the video phone should have been confinscated. Sadly, behavior should be graded along with the cirriculum in which case several students would have gotten an F

Bottom line: State and Federal laws prohibit disruption in the classroom. Sure kids have their problems and teachers are told to use techniques and engagement. However those particular kids that have problems whether hormonal or whatever daddy or Mommy did to them at home is irrelevant under the law. Absolutely help those kids, but first you get them the hell out of a classroom where the majority of the kids want to learn. HELLO! THE LAW SUPPORTS THIS; end of story.

Gosh, I remember crap like this at high school. It wasn't too bad in primary school but in high school, woah, it was explosive and so rude what the kids would do.
